Memories from 4600 Meters

Today's photos are from my last trip which was completed on the Manali-Leh highway. This highway is very famous among adventure lovers and the average altitude of this highway is 4600 meters. This 460 km long highway starts from Manali (Himachal Pradesh) and goes up to Ladakh which is very close to the Indo-Pak International Border.

Some photos are of Rohtang Pass which is 3950 meters high and this pass is the first mountain pass of this highway. I am sharing some amazing photos of the sunrise here, it is a different matter that this post is black and white so you will not be able to see the redness of the sun but you can definitely feel that feeling.

There are some pillars of snow which are standing at 4100 meters, every year when snow falls, they have to fight a 6-month long battle to maintain their existence. Then in some photos, there is Dhauladhar and Pir Panjal mountain range which was shining golden as if it was a real mountain of gold.

There is a dog nearby who wants to go somewhere so early in the morning, looking at him it seems as if he has gone for a morning walk. Somewhere far away on a ridge a horse is eating grass, how did he get grass in so much snow is also a big question. On the mountains towards Lahaul, the clouds have embraced the peaks, it seems as if the beloved has surrounded her lover in her arms.

So this is today's small and wonderful post, I hope you people will definitely like it. Which is your favorite photo, please tell me by commenting. Now I am leaving, I will meet you again.

This is my entry for #monomad challenge.
