Monomad: Sweat, Sky, and Snow (A Day on the Hanumangarh Peak Trail)

It's time to embark on another new day and another new adventure. It's been 3 days since I've been in Bir, these days I've completed the work of marking the trail up to Hanumangarh Peak which is 3080 meters high. Actually a trail running event is going to be held here which will be 18 km long and along with covering this distance the runner will also have to compete with 2030 meters elevation gain.

The route will start from the Bir landing site and after about 4 km it will leave the forest and enter an open area where the sun will fall directly on the runner's head and I believe that in this situation the runner's reserve water may get exhausted, so the runner will have to take his steps carefully. After this open patch the runner will again enter the forest where the height will be 2400 meters.

From here if the runner is lucky then he will see the snow covered Dhauladhar mountain range which is still almost covered with snow. From here you can see Twin Peaks, Gauri Jhundha Peak, Moon Peak, Langha Kinnauri, Thamsar Pass, Jalsu Pass and Makodi Pass. Today the weather was clear so I could see everything clearly. I mean I really enjoyed seeing this view.

Since this place is famous for paragliding, it is not possible that paragliders are not seen here. So wherever you look in the valley, you can see colorful paragliders. Some gliders are not flying too high above me, I can clearly hear the sound of music from a glider below. My body also sweated a lot in the hot sun. So this was for today, the rest is tomorrow.

This is my entry for #monomad challenge.

Great! Hope to be back in Nepal very soon, if I cannot make a real hike yet then at least I'll be close to the Himalayas again :-)

Absolutely remarkable captures ! Despite being in black and white they look outstandingly wonderful.
