Hi everyone!
I’m sharing with you this photo series we did with a beautiful young woman. As you know, my goal with photography isn’t just to make something that looks “pretty” — I like images that feel like film stills, as if we’re only catching a fragment of a larger story.
The look she’s wearing supports that idea: a grey jumper, a white sweater with soft texture, a French-style beret, and a vintage-looking briefcase — clearly worn, but not damaged. Every element we use always carries some implicit narrative.
The intention was to spark in the viewer that feeling of not knowing whether the scene is current or from another time — yet still sensing the story of someone who is moving through a journey with complete self-assurance.
For these images, I chose to work with a telephoto lens, which gives me better compression of the background and helps separate the subject without needing to blur everything. It also gives me more control over the frame, allowing me to avoid distracting elements from the surroundings.
