Greetings!.
I have added one of my new findings and observations to the iNaturalis community. It is an interesting species of beetle fly.
Celyphidae, commonly known as beetle flies or beetle-back flies, are a family of flies in the (order Diptera). These insects are similar to beetles and are also almost similar to flies.
The unique thing about this beetle fly is that this animal has two horns on the head, on the legs and mouth, similar to flies, while the back resembles a beetle.
In behavior. This beetle fly is the same as a fly, this small animal is often found in bushes and also likes to perch on leaves.
Have also found it with other colors. Like brown and pale red. Have two wings that allow them to fly like flies or beetles.
![]() | iNaturalist is a citizen science platform and online social network that allows users to record and share observations about biodiversity, as well as assist in species identification. The platform allows users to upload photos or videos of plants, animals, and other organisms, which can then be identified by a community of other users. In addition, iNaturalist also has an automatic identification feature that uses computer vision to help identify species. |
