Moon Karts Season 40: Leaderboards , COLONY/Orbital Points Ratio & My Results and Rewards Analysis!
It is several months that I play and have fun on Moonkarts which is a Hive-based arcade race game that is part of the games featured on the Arcade Colony platform.
Moon Karts is one of the games I follow with the most interest because it combines fun, competition, and a well-structured reward system.
Yesterday, October 16, 2025, season 40 ended and season 41 began.
Seasons on Moon Karts are 10 days long, and the current season will end in 9 days and 1 hour.
In this post, I share:
- the positions of the two leaderboards about 15 minutes before the end of the season
- the calculation of the COLONY/Orbital Points ratio
- the analysis of my game results and rewards in season 40
Seasonal Leaderboards
There are two seasonal reward mechanisms on Moon Karts:
- Ranked Leaderboards
- Orbitals Leaderboard
However, it is not possible to see the results of the previous season, as is the case on Splinterlands, for example.
For this reason, I try to take screenshots of the two leaderboards a few minutes before the end of the season so that I can provide useful information to potential new players or simply to those who want to learn about the seasonal reward mechanisms on Moon Karts.
In the next images, you can see the positions of the two leaderboards when there were 15 minutes left until the end of season 40.

The Ranked Leaderboard is based on:
- Ranking Points earned by players in races: 10 Ranking Points for first place, 8 Ranking Points for second place, etc.
- The Staking Factor, which depends on the amount of COLONY staked.
In the Ranked Leaderboard of season 40, the top player was @mahar26, who collected more than 9000 Ranking Points, which is a truly impressive result.
Considering that the winner of a single race earns 10 ranking points, to earn 9394 ranking points, it is necessary to play a minimum of 940 races in 10 days, always finishing first.
The Orbitals Leaderboard is based on:
- the Orbital Points earned by players in races.
- the NFTs that make up the Kart Preset: the rarity and foil of an NFT directly influence the amount of Orbital Points that can be earned during a race.
To earn Orbital Points during a race, you must collect at least 2 Orbitals (in-race items) along the race route.
In the Season 40 Orbitals Leaderboard, the top player was @spaceghost25, who collected more than 28.7 million Orbital Points.
The COLONY/Orbital Points ratio
When I like a game, I keep track of my game results and the rewards I receive.
In season 40:
- I accumulated 1,257,540 Orbital Points
- For my ranking in the Orbitals Leaderboard, I received a reward of 9635 COLONY.
These two pieces of information allow me to calculate the COLONY/Orbital Points ratio.
In season 40, the COLONY/Orbital Points ratio was 0.00766178 COLONY per Orbital point.
The Orbital Points/COLONY ratio is information that applies to all players and means that 1000 Orbital Points generated 7.66178 COLONY.
The gain in COLONY tokens per Orbital Point was higher in season 40 than in season 39.
Analysis of my results and rewards in season 40
In season 40, I had much less free time than in the previous two seasons and only played 73 races.
In fact:
- in season 38 I played 251 races
- in season 39 I played 290 races
- in season 40 I played 73 races
In season 40, I used this Kart Preset:
- Kart: Arachno Eclipse
- Driver: Drift
- Accessories: Flex Edge, Jet Flow, Grip Ease
- Tech Cards: Reinforced Body, Tire Upgrade, Engine Enhancement
- Fuel Consumption: 260.2 (first 10 races)
I started and ended the season with 700823.32 COLONY staked.
The amount of COLONY staked determines the Multiplier, which also depends on the rating (=Ranking points).
I like to monitor my gaming activity, so I took note of::
- the number of races I played
- the rating points I earned after each race
- my final position in each race
- the amount of Orbitals and Colony collected in each race
- the amount of FUEL consumed
In the next image, you can see the data I collected in each of the races I played in season 40.
On Moon Karts, COLONY token rewards per race increase as the number of races played increases and, consequently, as ranking points increase.
In the first race:
- I finished first (+10 ranking points)
- I collected 6 orbitals and 4 colony along the way (in-game items that do not correspond to COLONY tokens)
- I earned 1.86 COLONY
In the 73rd race:
- I finished first (+10 ranking points)
- I collected 6 orbitals and 4 colony along the way
- I earned 7 COLONY
Considering only the rewards won in individual races, I earned a total of 312 COLONY.
My final results in the two leaderboards were:
- 6th place in the Orbital Leaderboard - Reward: 9635 COLONY (previous season: 4th place: 31498 COLONY)
- 7th place in the Ranked Leaderboard - Reward: 9390 COLONY (previous season: 6th place: 9884 COLONY)
Based on the market value (Highest Bid) of [COLONY] tokens (https://hive-engine.com/trade/COLONY) and the market value of HIVE tokens ($0.139), I calculated the value in SWAP.HIVE and dollars of the seasonal reward I received for playing in season 40.
Adding up all the rewards I earned (races + leaderboards), I received a total seasonal reward of 19025 COLONY = 13.45 SWAP.HIVE = 1.86$
In season 40, I also monitored the quantity of in-game items I collected along the race tracks and the amount of FUEL I consumed:
- Total Colony items (not tokens): 310
- Total Orbital items: 402
- Total Fuel Consumed: 18414.32

I have summarized my total seasonal results in tabular form.
Thanks to the rewards I earned in season 40 (leaderboards + races) and thanks to the COLONY tokens I earned from the daily airdrop as an SPS stakeholder and GLX stakeholder, today I added +19767.93 COLONY to my stake.
I now have 720591.25 COLONY staked.
After two seasons in which I made significant progress toward my goal of 1 million COLONY staked, I slowed down a bit this season, but I still made progress and completed 72.06% of my goal.
My goals for season 41
In season 40, I did not achieve my goal of 300 races played.
An unachieved goal is almost always a new goal for me to achieve, and playing at least 300 races will be my new goal for season 41.
I would also like to purchase more CENTAURI packs with the aim of improving my Kart Preset, but at the moment there are no active sales offers on Hive Engine except for one that is more of a joke than a real sales offer.
I also asked in the buy/sell channel on the Arcade Colony Discord server if anyone had CENTAURI packs to sell, but I only received sale offers for some NFTs that I don't intend to buy because the value of HIVE is too low and I don't want to pay $2 today for an NFT in HIVE because, according to my personal assessment, HIVE is worth much, much more than the current price.
If I find any buying opportunities, I'll take them, but in the meantime, I'll just keep playing and having fun on Moon Karts.

Da diversi mesi gioco e mi diverto su Moonkarts, un Hive-based arcade race game che fa parte dei giochi presenti sulla piattaforma Arcade Colony.
Moon Karts è uno dei giochi che seguo con più interesse perché unisce divertimento, competizione e un sistema di ricompense ben strutturato.
Ieri 16 ottobre 2025 è terminata la stagione numero 40 ed è iniziata la stagione 41.
Le stagioni su Moon Karts durano 10 giorni e la stagione in corso terminerà tra 9 giorni e 1 ora.
In questo post condivido:
- le posizioni delle due leaderboards a circa 15 minuti dalla fine della stagione
- il calcolo del rapporto COLONY/Orbital Points
- l'analisi dei miei risultati di gioco e delle mie ricompense nella stagione 40
Le Leaderboard stagionali
Su Moon Karts ci sono anche due meccanismi di ricompensa stagionali:
- Ranked Leaderboards
- Orbitals Leaderboard
Ma non è possibile vedere i risultati della stagione precedente come ad esempio su Splinterlands.
Per questo motivo cerco di fare degli screenshots delle due leaderboard pochi minuti prima della fine della stagione in modo da poter dare informazioni utili ai potenziali nuovi giocatori o semplicemente a chi vuole conoscere i meccanismi di ricompensa stagionali presenti su Moon Karts.
Nelle prossime immagini puoi vedere le posizioni delle due leaderboards quando mancavano 15 minuti alla fine della stagione 40.

La Ranked Leaderboards si basa:
- sui Ranking Points guadagnati dai giocatori nelle corse: 10 Ranking points per il primo posto, 8 Ranking points per il secondo posto, ...
- sullo Staking Factor che dipende dal quantitativo di COLONY messi in staking.
Nella Ranked Leaderboard della stagione 40 il top player è stato @mahar26 che ha collezionato più di 9000 Ranking Points che è un risultato davvero impressionante.
Se consideri che chi arriva primo in una singola corsa guadagna 10 ranking points per guadagnare 9394 ranking points è necessario giocare un minimo di 940 corse in 10 giorni arrivando sempre primi.
L'Orbitals Leaderboards si basa:
- sugli Orbital Points guadagnati dai giocatori nelle corse.
- sugli NFT che compongono il Kart Preset: la rarità e la foil di un NFT influenzano direttamente il quantitativo di Orbital Points guadagnabili durante una corsa.
Per guadagnare Orbital Points durante una corsa è necessario raccogliere almeno 2 Orbitals (in-race items) lungo il percorso della corsa.
Nella Orbitals Leaderboard della stagione 40 il top player è stato @spaceghost25 che ha collezionato più di 28.7 milioni di Orbital Points.
Il rapporto COLONY/Orbital Points
Quando un gioco mi piace prendo nota dei miei risultati di gioco e delle ricompense che ricevo.
Nella stagione 40:
- ho accumulato 1 257 540 Orbital Points
- per il mio posizionamento nella Orbitals Leaderboard ho ricevuto una ricompensa di 9635 COLONY.
Queste due informazioni mi permettono di calcolare il rapporto COLONY/Orbital Points
Nella stagione 40 il rapporto COLONY/Orbital Points è stato di 0.00766178 COLONY per Orbital point.
Il rapporto Orbital Points/COLONY è un informazione che vale per tutti i giocatori e significa che 1000 Orbital Points hanno generato 7.66178 COLONY.
Il guadagno in token COLONY per Orbital Point è stato maggiore nella stagione 40 rispetto alla stagione 39.
L'analisi dei miei risultati e delle mie ricompense nella stagione 40
Nella stagione 40 ho avuto molto meno tempo libero rispetto alle due stagioni precedenti e ho giocato solo 73 corse.
Infatti:
- nella stagione 38 ho giocato 251 corse
- nella stagione 39 ho giocato 290 corse
- nella stagione 40 ho giocato 73 corse
Nella stagione 40 ho utilizzato questo Kart Preset:

Ho iniziato e concluso la stagione con 700823.32 COLONY staked.
Il quantitativo di COLONY staked determina il Multiplier che dipende anche dal rating (=Ranking points).
Mi piace monitorare la mia attività di gioco e ho preso nota:
- del numero di corse che ho giocato
- dei punti di rating che ho guadagnato dopo ogni corsa
- del mio posizionamento finale in ogni corsa
- del quantitativo di Orbitals e Colony raccolti in ogni corsa
- del quantitativo di FUEL consumato
Nella prossima immagine puoi vedere i dati che ho raccolto in ognuna delle corse che ho giocato nella stagione 40.
Su Moon Karts le ricompense in token COLONY per singola corsa aumentano con l'aumentare delle corse giocate e di conseguenza con l'aumentare dei ranking points.
Nella prima corsa:
- sono arrivato primo (+10 Ranking points)
- ho raccolto 6 orbitals e 4 colony lungo il percorso (in-game items che non corrispondono ai COLONY tokens)
- ho guadagnato 1.86 COLONY
Nella 73ma corsa:
- sono arrivato primo (+10 Ranking points)
- ho raccolto 6 orbitals e 4 colony lungo il percorso
- ho guadagnato 7 COLONY
Considerando solo le ricompense vinte nelle singole corse ho guadagnato in totale 312 COLONY.
I miei risultati finali nelle due leaderboards sono stati:
- 6° posto nella Orbital Leaderboard - Reward: 9635 COLONY (stagione precedente: 4° posto: 31498 COLONY)
- 7° posto nella Ranked Leaderboard - Reward: 9390 COLONY (stagione precedente: 6° posto: 9884 COLONY)
In base al valore di mercato (Highest Bid) dei token COLONY e in base al valore di mercato del token HIVE (0.139$) ho calcolato il valore in SWAP.HIVE e in dollari della ricompensa stagionale che ho ricevuto per aver giocato nella stagione 40.
Sommando tutte le ricompense che ho guadagnato (races + leaderboards) ho ricevuto una ricompensa stagionale totale di 19025 COLONY = 13.45 SWAP.HIVE = 1.86$
Nella stagione 40 ho monitorato anche il quantitativo degli in-game items che ho raccolto lungo i tracciati delle corse e il quantitativo di FUEL che ho consumato:
- Total Colony items (non sono i token): 310
- Total Orbital items: 402
- Total Fuel Consumed: 18414.32

Ho sintetizzato i miei risultati totali stagionali in forma tabellare.
Grazie alle ricompense che ho guadagnato nella stagione 40 (leaderboards + corse) e grazie ai token COLONY che ho guadagnato dall'airdrop giornaliero come SPS stakeholder e GLX stakeholder oggi ho aggiunto +19767.93 COLONY al mio stake.
Adesso ho 720591.25 COLONY staked.
Dopo due stagioni in cui ho fatto progressi importanti verso il mio obiettivo di 1 Milione di COLONY staked nella stagione in corso ho un pò rallentato ma ho comunque fatto passi in avanti e ho completato il 72.06% del mio obiettivo.
I miei obiettivi per la stagione 41
Nella stagione 40 non ho raggiunto il mio obiettivo di 300 corse giocate.
Un obiettivo non raggiunto è quasi sempre per me un nuovo obiettivo da raggiungere e giocare almeno 300 corse sarà il mio nuovo obiettivo per la stagione 41.
Mi piacerebbe anche acquistare altri CENTAURI packs con l'obiettivo di migliorare il mio Kart Preset ma al momento non ci sono offerte di vendita attive su Hive Engine tranne un'offerta di vendita che di fatto è più uno scherzo che una reale offerta di vendita.
Ho chiesto anche nel canale buy/sell sul server Discord di Arcade Colony se qualcuno ha CENTAURI packs da vendere ma ho ricevuto solo offerte di vendita per alcuni NFT che però non ho intenzione di acquistare perchè il valore di HIVE è troppo basso e non voglio pagare oggi 2$ per un NFT in HIVE perchè secondo la mia personale valutazione HIVE vale molto molto molto di più del prezzo attuale.
Se troverò occasioni di acquisto le coglierò ma nel frattempo continuerò semplicemente a giocare e divertirmi su Moon Karts.

Nice job! Even with less races you did well, and you earn more Colony than over in Stake House Den. I need more Colony as well, I'll have to put that on the investment list this next month or so! Keep up the great work!
thanks my friend, I am interested in all hive-based games, which is why I invested in Stake House Den, but personally I prefer playing Moon Karts and would still prefer it even if the rewards were higher on Stake House Den. However, I remain convinced that increasing the rewards on Stake House Den would be a good choice.
