Why you should consider buying Colony tokens

Today another post about Moonkarts. Yes, the racing game which is available on Arcade Colony. Today I am going to talk about some bullish reasons why you should consider scooping up some Colony Tokens. Ofcourse this is just my personal opinion and by no means financial advice in any way. As they always say, do your own due diligence when spending money!

The graph

As you could see on the thumbnail image, there is quite a lot going on about the Colony token. You can see a big jump in price on the seventh of May. I am not completely sure what the reason for the increase was, but around that time pack opening for one of the other games of Arcade Colony went live. So, it could be that people thought it was a good moment to buy some Colony. After a serious upclimb, usually there is a downfall as the price settles down. But as you could see on the graph, the price didn't completely fall back and is creating a new support. It will definitely be interesting where the price of the token is heading in the coming weeks!

The Moonkarts nft market

On above picture you could see a printscreen which is taken today, the sixth of June 2025. As you can see the volume on the nft market has been over $300 in the latest 24 hours. Ofcourse compared to big games like Splinterlands, that's not that much but for a relatively new game which is still in its infancy, it's definitely a great achievement! Ofcourse this doesn't relate directly to the price of Colony but more transactions of nft's means that more people are interested or whales are being created.

The team behind Moonkarts

You probably already know it by now, as I have mentioned it a couple of times in my previous posts but the team behind Moonkarts is the team behind Arcade Colony. Arcade Colony is invented by Invennium Corp., which is a fully owned corporation by the Splinterlands company. As I am writing on Hive, you probably know Splinterlands as the big web3 tcg-style game in which you can battle against other players with your owned cards which are nft's. Ofcourse this hasn't a direct influence on the price of Colony, BUT when a project is backed by a well-known team, it's some kind of guarantee the project will succeed.

Future updates

The project isn't a 'we developed it and it's finished' game. When you read the whitepaper, which could be found here, you could see that there are some future updates which are currently being developed. One of these updates is the development of a Moon Dome, which is like a Stadium where races could be held. By owning a Moon Dome, you could earn up to 10% of the tokens which are being won in the race held on your Moon Dome. My guess is that once such new updates are being released, you could see the price of Colony climb. So better be prepared!

Fierce competition

As you could see on above image, there is quite some fierce competition ongoing on the leaderboard. People really want to climb as high as possible to obtain as much Colony as possible. When you look around at Hive, there are several people racing to accumulate as much Colony as possible as they have quite high goals to achieve. You'll definitely not be alone in your hunt for Colony!

Conclusion

As you can see there are quite a few reasons why you should consider buying some Colony. If I would have more liquid funds, I would probably scoop and stake some myself. Although, at the moment I am lacking funds, so it won't be for today unfortunately.
