El inicio del 2025 ha sido de Amelie. Sin lugar a dudas, las fotografías de momentos capturados me deja un dulce sabor, pero más allá de las fotos, hoy quiero compartirles los principales aprendizajes de mi experiencia al lado de mi hija y los retos que viví entregando mi vida a ella.
Desde momentos cotidianos llenos de su luz, hasta eventos familiares planificados que nos han dejado los recuerdos más hermosos.
Tuvimos una visita al Parque Francisco de Miranda solo con ella, los grandes tenían sus propios planes y nos fuimos de pícnic, papá, mamá y ella. Llevamos comidita y chucherías y tuvimos un lindo rato de distracción y contacto con la naturaleza. Llevamos su bicicleta, así que el día también estuvo lleno de acción, y como en esta visita también entramos al terrario, pues la aventura y el conocimiento también formaron parte de ese día. La invitación es para estar abiertos a vivir días fuera de lo común y dejarnos llevar por los planes de una niña tan ilusionada, pues como adultos esto nos cayó muy bien.

The beginning of 2025 has been Amelie's. Undoubtedly, the photographs of captured moments leave me with a sweet taste, But beyond the photos, today I want to share with you the main lessons learned from my experience with my daughter and the challenges I lived giving my life to her.
From everyday moments filled with her light, to planned family events that have left us with the most beautiful memories.
We had a visit to the Francisco de Miranda Park with just her, the grown-ups had their own plans and we went on a picnic, dad, mom and her. We brought food and snacks and had a nice time of distraction and contact with nature. We took her bike, so the day was also full of action, and since we also went into the terrarium, adventure and knowledge were also part of the day. The invitation is to be open to live days out of the ordinary and let ourselves be carried away by the plans of such an excited little girl, because as adults this went down very well with us.
Los preparativos para el carnaval también fueron parte de estas vivencias, ella fue muy enfática y sencilla, "quiero disfrazarme de gato", lo dejé para última hora y viví días de nervios por no conseguir el disfraz, con creatividad y ayuda de mi amiga Pilar todo fue resuelto y conseguimos que se disfrazara de una pícara gatita rosada que fue muy feliz. Qué importante es contar con el círculo de apoyo, merece todo mi agradecimiento.
También les puedo contar que una tarde Amelie me acompañó al trabajo y al salir nos fuimos a un lugar muy cercano a comprar un regalo de cumpleaños para mi sobrina que cumplió 15 años, la opinión de Amelie fue muy importante para acertar este regalo. El gran premio fue que entramos a una tienda de dulces y bebidas con motivo de Sanrio y Pikachu, Amelie se sorprendió muchísimo y actuó muy maravillada, yo no puedo negar que el efecto que tuvo en mí fue contagiante. Nunca perdamos la capacidad de asombro genuino, la posibilidad de sorprendernos y dejarnos alegrar.
The preparations for the carnival were also part of these experiences, she was very emphatic and simple, I want to dress up as a cat, I left it to the last minute and lived days of nerves for not getting the costume, with creativity and help from my friend Pilar everything was solved and we got her to dress up as a mischievous pink kitten that was very happy. How important it is to have a circle of support, she deserves all my thanks.
I can also tell you that one afternoon Amelie accompanied me to work and when we left we went to a very close place to buy a birthday gift for my niece who turned 15, Amelie's opinion was very important to get this gift right. The big prize was that we went into a candy and drinks store with a Sanrio and Pikachu motif, Amelie was very surprised and acted very amazed, I can't deny that the effect it had on me was contagious. Let us never lose the capacity for genuine amazement, the ability to be surprised and to let ourselves be delighted.
También nos preparamos para su cierre de proyecto, pero más importante aún es todo lo que nos preparamos estos meses para que ella conociera mejor todos los estados de nuestro país, Venezuela y aprendiera sus capitales, además de tener noción de algunas características importantes. Para el cierre de proyecto le toco el estado Lara, aprovechamos de familiarizarla con artículos que se usan en nuestra casa, provenientes de ese estado y lucir un traje tradicional que teníamos por un baile cultural en el que participó hace tiempo.
Me gustó mucho que ahora en su colegio los niños elaboran los materiales para sus exposiciones en el salón, luego traen a la casa el material para estudiarlo, practicar y mejorarlo un poquito, pero ya trae su sello, su marca particular y los padres no podemos disponernos a hacer las cosas para ellos, solo apoyarlos. Fue una buena experiencia en la que la vi desarrollarse muy independiente y desenvuelta y sobre todo, vi que la maestra valoró de forma muy importante el esfuerzo de cada niño.
We also prepared for the closing of the project, but even more important is all that we prepared these months so that she could get to know better all the states of our country, Venezuela, and learn their capitals, as well as to have a notion of some important characteristics. For the closing of the project she had to visit the state of Lara, we took the opportunity to familiarize her with items that are used in our home, from that state and to wear a traditional costume that we had for a cultural dance in which she participated some time ago.
I really liked that now in her school the children make the materials for their exhibitions in the classroom, then they bring the material home to study it, practice and improve it a little bit, but it already brings their stamp, their particular mark, and we parents cannot do things for them, we can only support them. It was a good experience in which I saw her develop in a very independent and self-confident way, and above all, I saw that the teacher valued the effort of each child in a very important way.
En el mes de marzo fue su cumpleaños y lo celebramos el último fin de semana del mes, desde inicios del mes de enero ya Amelie estaba haciendo planes para su fiesta, así que decidimos seguirle el ritmo y hacer los esfuerzos para trabajarlo con ella, cuál es la enseñanza de esto, enseñarla a planificar, con libreta en mano, analizar presupuestos, decidir prioridades, creo que por el momento ella no se ha dado cuenta de lo que ha ido aprendiendo, pero mi intención de lograr esta fiesta fue que ella sienta que al planificar algo y ser constante puede lograrlo y que todos los detalles que su mente trabaja puede verlos darse forma, pero con consciencia de lo que requiere para concretarlo.
Así, de esta forma Amelie se robó mi corazón en este primer trimestre del año 2025, enero, febrero y marzo fueron meses de mucho aprendizaje a su lado.

In March was her birthday, and we celebrated it the last weekend of the month, since the beginning of January Amelie was already making plans for her party, so we decided to keep up with her and make the effort to work with her, what is the lesson of this, teach her to plan, with notebook in hand, analyze budgets, decide priorities, I think for the time being, I think it is a good experience, I think that for the moment she has not realized what she has been learning, but my intention to achieve this party was that she feels that by planning something and being constant she can achieve it and that all the details that her mind works on can be seen to take shape, but with awareness of what is required to make it happen.
So, in this way Amelie stole my heart in this first quarter of the year 2025, January, February and March were months of much learning by her side.
