Back to Kraków After 7 Years for HiveBeeCon! / 来週末はHiveBeeConでクラコフへ

Next weekend, @hivebeecon will take place in Kraków, Poland.

HiveBeeCon² — 14–16 November, Kraków

Since Poland is just next to Germany and not too far from where I live in the eastern part of the Germany, I’m planning to hop on a train and join the meetup. I’ve already booked my train ticket, and after waiting to see if my family would recover from a cold, it seems we’re finally all good — so I’ll book the hotel this weekend. I still remember having to cancel visiting 2023’s BeeCon at the very last minute because my partner caught COVID 😅

It’s been seven years since I last visited Kraków — the last time was for the Fest in 2018! I’m looking forward not only to meeting with Hive people and enjoying the lively atmosphere, but also to tasting Polish food again — especially the hearty fermented rye-based soup Żurek, which somehow reminds me of Japanese miso soup. I can’t wait to enjoy those dense, rustic breads that are perfect for autumn and winter — and of course, to bring some back home.

I have half-joking (but half-serious!) ideas about making sushi or making Oreshki on site. If my cold is completely gone by then, I might actually do something like that — just like when I made onigiri at the Hive Open Days in May ☺️

This year has been full of travel — Portugal in February, Paris in March, Austria in May, the U.S. in September, Malaysia in October, and now Poland in November, not to mention a few trips within Germany. I’d love to fully enjoy this last journey of the year — HiveBeeCon in Poland.

来週末はポーランドのクラコフで @hivebeecon が開催されますね。

HiveBeeCon² — 14–16 November, Kraków

ポーランドはドイツのお隣で、私が住むドイツ東部からはそこまで遠くないので電車に乗って遊びに行こうと思います。電車のチケットを予約して、家族で風邪をひくなどしてホテルの予約は待っていましたが大丈夫そうなので、今週末予約します。前回の2023年のBeeConは、直前にパートナーがコロナにかかってキャンセルしたのを思い出します 😅

クラコフに行くのは2018年のFest以来7年ぶりで、Hiveのみなさんとお会いしてわいわいするのが楽しみなのはもちろん、久しぶりのポーランド料理、パンやチーズを食べるのも楽しみです。中でも、個人的にポーランドの味噌汁と親しみを感じているライ麦を発酵させて作るスープZurekが楽しみで仕方ありません。秋冬にぴったりのどっしりしたパンも食べて、お土産にも買って帰るぞー。

あとは現地でお寿司を作るとか、Oreshkiを作るとか、ジョークのような半分本気のアイディアも口にしていて、風邪がきちんと治ったら、5月のOpen Daysでおにぎりを作ったときのように何かやってみようかななんて☺️

今年は、2月にポルトガル、3月にパリ、5月にオーストリア、9月にアメリカ、10月にマレーシア、11月にポーランド、ドイツ国内の旅行や出張も合わせると本当によく移動しています。今年最後の旅の一つポーランドのBeeConを満喫したいです。
