Yoyoyo Runners !!!
Good evening from beautiful Larissa, where I’ll be staying for a few days.
Today I’m sharing my very first tempo-style workout, which I did at the Alkazar National Stadium. It was my first time ever running in a national stadium — I can’t really say it felt much different, except for the fact that there were a lot more people running around and plenty of stands 😄.
Workout Timeline: // Check out my workout on Strava here.
- 2K Warm Up (6:30/km)
- 4x(100 (24'') + 1' (100m))
- 2' R
- 2x(15' (4:40/km) + 2' (100m))
- 2K Cool Down (7:00/km)
More Details:
As you can tell, my warm-up was a touch fast, same with the cool-down.
I’m still working on the 100m reps, trying to dial in the pace purely by feel. Each time, I’m getting better. The two 15-minute segments went really well. I never felt like I wouldn’t make it through, and I’m genuinely very happy that I got them done.
This workout helped me step more confidently toward my big goal — the reason I started running in the first place: the half marathon in my hometown, Patra, on March 29.
As for the time, it’s still hard to be precise. Ideally, I’d love to hit 1:35:00 (4:00/km), but that’s something the coming months will tell
Happy New Year to everyone! I wish that in the new year we break all the PR I’ve set as goals — and of course, stay injury-free.

Great work!
Btw; half marathon at 4:00 / km = 1 hour 24 min and 24 sec. For your goal 1 hour 35 a pace of 4:30 / km will be sufficient:

This should be within your reach!
Keep going man!
Thank you very much, my friend — I truly appreciate all the effort you put in.
