I think I overate earlier, LOL. Now I’m feeling bloated and a bit acidic again. It looks like I slipped from my discipline and briefly reverted to my old habits. I'm not sure why I suddenly became so stubborn, and now I’m regretting my actions, hahaha.
For breakfast, I had my usual oatmeal cooked with steamed fresh milk. I thought that would be enough, but when I passed by a hawker center and smelled the food from an economic bee hoon stall, I got tempted to eat again. I ended up getting a mix of noodles, fried egg, luncheon meat, cabbage, and Chinese sausage. I was so greedy that I spent SGD 4.00 on the meal, and I’m not even sure why I finished it all. 😅
Because of that, I felt too full to eat lunch and actually skipped it. But then around 2:00 PM, I got hungry again and bought another bowl of noodles topped with shredded chicken. After that, I had a piece of bread and a cheese tart around 5:00 PM, followed by a bubble milk tea.
Now I’m thinking of skipping dinner, but I’m not sure if I can resist the urge to eat again later tonight. I really hope I don’t give in because it's going to be tough to burn off all these extra calories I’ve consumed today.
This made me realize how amazing some people are, especially those who manage to stay disciplined and don’t easily give in to food temptations. For me, food—especially sugary stuff—feels like my vice. And honestly, I’m starting to get a little worried about it.
I’ve read that sugar is as harmful, if not worse, than nicotine and alcohol. When consumed excessively, it can negatively affect the entire body.
To think more positively about today, I’ll consider it my "cheat day"—a day in the week when I allow myself to deviate from my usual disciplined diet and indulge a bit more than necessary. That being said, I shouldn't go beyond this and must return to my regular routine in the coming days so my body can burn off the extra calories and move toward a healthier lifestyle.
What’s most important is not to stress about it, because that will only make things worse for me. Since it already happened, I should just move forward and stay committed to a more disciplined lifestyle.
At the end of the day, it's all about balance and learning from each experience. Slip-ups happen, but they don’t define the journey—what matters is how we bounce back. Here's to staying mindful, being kind to ourselves, and continuing the pursuit of a healthier lifestyle.

I also love that bee hoon but I reduced already. Been avoiding luncheon meat and sausages for almost a year now, maybe you can try excluding the unhealthy ones one at a time

This is one of my favourite "breakfasts" too. Thankfully I'm mostly able to hold off on the temptation of taking this to only once a month or so. But hey! Yours at least still has some "healthy veges" unlike mine! 🤣
Haha, glad I’m not alone in loving it! Yeah, I told myself the cabbage made it slightly healthier 😂. Once-a-month sounds like a good target to work toward!
I was just laughing while reading this because you want to call it a cheat day but it's more than a cheat day you over ate, but am happy you are honest to yourself because that will help you apply self-control.
