Se fueron de viaje un día
cada quien en una mula
de una paz que disimula
pero iban de casería.

Eran cuatro cazadores
un Chino y un Alemán
por los Gringos Supermán
y un Cumanés señores.

El Chino con un coraje
que no saltaba un venao
y el Alemán arremangao
embelesado con el paisaje.

Mientras que Supermán
con su traje tricolor
y por fuera el interior
como rojo cerezal.

El Cumanés con sombrero
de cogollo y alpargatas
se metía entre las matas
para cazar primero.

Del bosque salió un león
y el Alemán se asustó
y el Chino se percató
de la terrible ocasión.

Supermán se abalanzó
y sobre el se precipita
pero una criptonita
el león se la lanzó.

El Cumanés con su oración
se le enfrentó al león
y este con su atención
al Cumanés pidió perdón.

THE FOUR HUNTERS

They went on a journey one day, each on a mule, with a peace that belied their existence, but they were out hunting.

There were four hunters: a Chinese man, a German, Superman (as the Americans called him), and a man from Cumaná.

The Chinese man, with a courage that could outrun a deer, and the German, sleeves rolled up, captivated by the scenery.

Meanwhile, Superman, in his tricolor suit, with an outer layer that was cherry-red.

The man from Cumaná, wearing a straw hat and sandals, went into the thicket to hunt first.

A lion emerged from the woods, and the German was frightened, and the Chinese man realized the terrible opportunity.

Superman pounced and rushed at it, but the lion threw kryptonite at him.

The man from Cumaná, with his prayer,
confronted the lion,
and the lion, with his attention,
asked the man from Cumaná for forgiveness.
