Sublime Easter Sunday at the Beach

in SublimeSunday2 months ago

Here in Mid-East Florida, it's a lovely weekend this easter. A nice 82F (27C) early summer day. The water here still a bit chilly, but folks venturing in without wetsuits now, although the serious folks still wearing them.

This is a great change as we were used to snow on the ground this time of year last year (not in Florida, we were in Vermont last year). I'm definitely enjoying the sand more than snow in many ways.

Here we are in Ormond Beach, just south of the Gamble Rogers state park. Not much on the waves today, so not many surfers or belly boards, but that will change with the upcoming warmer weather rolling in.

I had a great walk yesterday up the beach for a mile or so and back. I found that while they don't like dogs in the State Park section of the beach, this little walkway is just south of the no dogs allowed line.

We didn't get Betty to the beach today, but she enjoyed hanging out in the shade of the trees in her little grassy spot. It's already getting too warm outside for her taste. She definitely preferred the snow over sand.

Well howdy neighbor!

great weather there, perfect for sea. i'm surprised there are so few people there!

I prefer snow 3 days a year - that's enough for me)) Although I come from Siberia, I want to see the sun and greenery 362 days a year. My entire childhood and youth were spent in the cold and snow, I think that's enough for me. Sand and the ocean are much cooler. Thank you for visiting my page!
