Balancing Life And Stress

in Hive Learners7 days ago

Most times I wonder how my day ends up getting to be a stressful one even when I planned it not to be stressful but one thing is certain, that whatever is worth doing is worth doing well. So I guess in the course of doing it well enough, we get lost in the world of stress.

Every diligent person with a mindset of getting better off yesterday tends to get involved in one thing or the other which may require little or much strength to achieve.

Generally, we focus only on the physical stress, like heading out, working out on something with our physical strength and time, making us exhaust our strength and by the time we have a place to sit and rest, we end up looking like we just escaped a trap of death because of the whole energy we had lost in the process of carrying out the task(s). There might even be some internal joint or body pains as a result of the physical stress we have put ourselves through.

Recently, I've been kind of overwhelmed partially with ministrations from one program to the other since we are in the season where churches or ministers raise alter of praises and thanksgiving as we are moving closer to the end of the year so balancing being a minister life coupled with personal life issues have been draining and stressful.

Moving from one place to the other, far and near, traveling far distance, standing in programs all through cos you don't want to feel pompous sitting when others are praising God just because it's not your time to lead people in praise (though my own belief, some others don't care about that I guess), getting back to my abode and as a lady I would still wanna join with the home chores or probably not but then, wherever I lay knows someone fell there.

It's what I signed for right so I don't get to complain or back out but then it's not always about this physical stress that is involved alone when we stress ourselves to do or achieve something but mental stress also get included. Not the body alone is doing the whole activity but we focus only on it.

Little did we know that even mental stress are much more worse than physical stress. We strain ourselves so much that it get to affect our body system of which we may not be able to handle when the side effects comes.

There was a time I had stressed myself so much that I begin to forget things. I knew something was wrong but I could not depict how and why as the results from my questionings always turns around stress or overthinking.

Growth comes with a price but is it worth it to be stressed over to the point of affecting our health? Sure it shouldn't so we must have our point of limiting the level of stress we get ourselves into either physical or mentally.

As humans, we are bound to want more and with this we may be greedy to want to stop at the needed point but wanna do more to gain more (either monetary or knowledge) but setting limits should help us know when to prioritize ourselves above our wants since we can't avoid to be stressed.

My simple ways of reducing and relieving stress includes not waiting for the things I want to do to pile up, that is, doing it bit by bit and then ensuring that there is an adequate sleeping hours even if nap is not possible during the day. My sleeping hours are not my working hours so with these two, I know I might not be able to eradicate stress but reduce it and the effect it has on me before setting up for the next day.

Stress truly shows up in different ways, both physically and mentally. It’s good that you’re finding ways to reduce it and protect your health. Balance is not easy, but taking things bit by bit and prioritizing rest really helps.
