Television shows have profoundly altered our lifestyles over the past several decades. What used to be a daily source of entertainment, soon becomes a powerful force in shaping social norms, daily routines, and personal behaviors. People starts to relate themselves with the shows character. They soon living a reel life then their real life. I have seen how the different genre of television shows influences an individuals and the society. Especially, ever since the reality shows started to broadcast on the television set. Individuals, especially when watching reality TV shows, may observe and mimic the behavior, language, and attitudes of characters, treating them as role models.

In my country it does not take long that reality TV shows becomes a household addiction. What began as a talent hunt program, soon took over many different forms to entertain the viewers. The transformation is very quick. From household oriented entertainment program to glamorous world of reality tv shows. I remember in my childhood days, we as a family assemble together to watch tv shows that were family oriented. We enjoy the shows and program wholeheartedly. But now things have changed, the reality shows began in India as a musical talent hunt. But now we have many forms of such programs running on our television, that deliver some wrong message to the society.
Reality TV shows are a genre of television programming that documents unscripted, real-life situations, featuring ordinary people or celebrities rather than actors in scripted roles.
This is a reality show... this show is never without drama
Reality TV soon revolutionized television by prioritizing unscripted, high drama, and character driven content over traditional scripted programming, creating a more interactive and emotionally charged viewer experience. I even noticed that these reality shows are now more scripted too. Just to make the audience entertain and getting a higher TRP. But in process these TV shows are crossing certain limits and creating chaos in viewers mind. There are no rooms for a family shows and the reality contains content that are inappropriate for certain audience. They are such which a family cant enjoy watching altogether. At least I can admit this for family, where values and respect still intact. I never support watching any of such program. Reality television shows are often considered inappropriate for many audiences. Particularly the younger viewers, due to their tendency to distort reality, glorify dysfunctional behavior, and promote unhealthy lifestyle choices. There were many cases of cheating, abusiveness , vulgar content, but still they are aired on national television channel.

Whether "inappropriate" reality shows should be aired is a complex debate with strong arguments regarding freedom of expression, consumer demand, and the social responsibility of media producers. While the market demand for dramatic content keeps these shows on the air, many believe that stricter guidelines and increased media literacy among viewers are necessary to mitigate their negative effects. There is debate over whether broadcasters have a duty to avoid airing content that is deemed socially harmful or degrading, particularly during hours when children are watching.
