Hello Hello Hivers, Hivians and all you degens out there!
Welcome to Wednesday.
The weather was gorgeous today, very sunny and it did top at 13 degrees, which is cold and am sitting here with the heating on!
Today though we are practising what #wednesdaywalk is all about!
Look at what is around you! It was kinda hard not to on this particular walk.
Fire damage at Scott Street in Perth.
When we up in Perth a few weeks for the Scottish Yarn show, Mrs T wanted to hit some charity shops!
No this was not the after shock of her efforts.
Unfortunately on the 13th of June there was a fire in this building and one person lost there life. It was a heck of a blaze and before the fire brigade had it under control it had made the flats unsafe.
This was them knocking it down, and the road was closed off.
I had earmarked four charity shops for Mrs T to look at being as they were all in very close proximity to each other and were up this road.
Luckily for us, they were letting pedestrians up this side street where the charity shops were.
And our 4 shops had just missed the fire so were open...
It was raining and I did not want to walk to ones on the other side of town until the rain stopped!
I knew what I was doing, and the Universe did too!
This sign in the first shop summed it up!
African inspired project bag thingy!
Of course this was snapped up, even though it was priceless Mrs T was having this. It is one of these things that open out and they put their needles, wool and pattern etc. A WIP they call it!
The wee wifey at the till said how about £3. A fluffing bargain I said!
Now Mrs T had bought a wadge of metal tins and wicker baskets the day before. I was wondering how we were going to get everything on the train home in a couple of days time!
Oh look a fluffing clock!
This was bought for 50 pence! It was a working mechanism and that was what she wanted. We have a great looking clock here that had a bust mechanism...
Problem solved!
To ERR IS HUMAN ..
to blame it on the other person is even more HUMAN!
This really is so apt!
Now this shocked me!
I saw the wee crochet bonnets and dresses and pointed the dolls out to Mrs T.
She hadn't seen them!!!
What the fluff was I doing pointing them out to her...
What an eejit 🤦♂
She had picked up a book up and was laughing away.
Mrs T is American but has been in the UK on and off since 1997 so pretty much knows most things here and could relate!
STUFF BRITS LIKE
We had to head to the supermarket to get some grub, and I had seen a break in the weather ... So we went for it!
This post is for #wednesdaywalk which was inspired by @tattoodjay
Thanks for visiting and I hope you managed to get out for a walk this week.

Yikes, can't say I am a fan of the creepy dolls!
lol creepy. Are you one of the people who think dolls are creepy, or just those ones lol
All dolls. Nope nope nope
Creepy AF! Fitting for Halloween season!
Such a shame what happened to that building, but when unsafe it has to come down. It's looks like a somewhat older construction, you hate to see those go...
Those dolls you definitely shouldn't have pointed out, you must be losing your mind! At least she understands how much things should be, and sounds like a smart shopper!
Beautiful pictures as always, I love seeing those views of old Scottish architecture!
Yeah it is the standard tenement type building up here which were all built between 1840 and 1920 so it is always sad to see them knocked down.
She is a savvy shopper and looks for the bargains. But as almost all the thrift shops here are for registered charities, it does not matter so much, it is all for a good cause.
The clotch look sos nice, it can be a nice feature in the room.
But not for the one with the words, I don't need to read the things that I do most of the time.
!LOLZ !PIZZA !PIMP
Hehe the clock was ok, but she just wanted the hands. Lol the words are so true Eka 🤣🤣🤣
its a sad part that the house burned down. that's really what i don't want to experience. its a nice that you still had a nice time and were able to walk around.
Yes fires are horrible, and that is a problem when there different flats in a building. They all get destroyed. But yes still had a fun wee walk!
thanks Melinda
😂 I love this playful, carefree tone… and I think the walk with Mrs. T—who just can’t stop buying bargains, haha—also kept that same spirit.
Always a pleasure to say hello, my friend.
Hehe thank you nani, we have to be playful in life, don't you think 🤣
Yeah always fun getting out and about and having fun. Yes bargains are great, if she uses them 🤣
It's always a pleasure seeing you my friend.
Did she take those dolls?😂 Sometimes tragedy struck unexpectedly😐
Hehe no the dolls stayed there! Yeah tragedy can happen at any time, it's why I like to live in the moment
I thought you will be drinking beer again after your walk with Mrs T hehe. Btw, I like making bargains too when visiting thrift shops, lol.
!PIZZA
Hehe we did have a meal later on for dinner and I had a beer then 🍺🤣
That fire damage looks pretty bad! Mrs T seems like she’s got a great eye for bargains 😁
!PIZZA
Yeah that block of flats is being demolished unfortunately. Bargains, oh yes it's all about value 🤣
Oh on, that's terrible. It's heartbreaking to see your home on fire and hope everyone survived.
One person passed away, the other families were displaced and one of them were staying in the hotel we were staying in down the road.
Chai. How painful it is. When is almost the end of the year and new year is approaching.
Yes never a good time. Last year there was a fire in a house very close to me and someone died. I thought for a minute we would be getting evacuated but the fire was in the daytime and never caught hold. But the four flats are all gutted.
3 pounds for a dol sounds like mrs t could buy one from her pocket money .

She didn't want them lol there were other things she wanted to spend her pocket money on!
