In my Wednesday walk today, I will tell you how two friends and I decided to ride bikes that day and look for mushrooms and herbs.
The location we chose was around Vromos Bay, located on the southern Black Sea coast. We were hoping to find deserted spots around a pine grove located there, even though we knew that by that time the area would already be full of tourists.
Indeed, the place was already full of caravans, tents, cars and people.
But we searched persistently. Several times we took supposedly wild paths, but they always led us to "private property" where access was prohibited.
However, we managed to find a trail that was not closed and that led us to a wild place without noise and crowds.
There, under the tall trees, we found large Parasol mushroom, which were very beautiful.
Besides this large one, there was also a small one.
We also found a little puffball.
We couldn't find any other mushrooms, but we enjoyed the wildflowers.
This huge dandelion-like flower was also very interesting. It's called Yellow salsify.
We decided to continue our search for mushrooms and herbs, but this time in the Ala Tepe area.
We headed there and had to go through quite muddy sections.
However, we soon gave up because the grass there was very high, it was impossible to ride a bike and even walking was difficult.
This is how our walk ended, which was quite interesting, fun and relaxing.
Wow, the large mushroom looks very attractive. I admire your dedication towards searching for some mushrooms. The wild flowers look pretty and with some unique details up close. It was a good time exploring the place while having some physical activity at the same time.
I'm glad you like our mushroom and herb searching adventure. Have a wonderful day 🌞
