Wednesday Walk. Walking for a parcel

Hello, friends! Yesterday evening, after a long day of working at the computer, I felt the need to get some fresh air and enjoy the sunshine. At first, I thought about doing some work outside, but since it was the Annunciation—a religious holiday—it's traditionally not a day for labor. I didn’t argue with that and instead decided to take a walk with my wife and our youngest son, pushing him in his stroller, while also picking up a package from the local Nova Poshta branch that my wife had ordered. We walked leisurely along the road, enjoying the spring weather. The sun was shining brightly, the leaves on the trees hadn’t opened yet, but some buds were already swelling. The warmth even woke up the ants in a large anthill near the forest by the road—they had emerged from their tunnels and were already busily moving about, beginning their spring work.	Привіт, друзі! Вчора ввечері, після довгого робочого дня за комп’ютером, мені захотілося трохи провітритися й вийти на сонце. Спершу думав зробити якусь роботу надворі, але оскільки було Благовіщення — релігійне свято, то, за традицією, працювати в цей день не прийнято. Я не став сперечатися й натомість вирішив прогулятися з дружиною та нашим найменшим сином, покатати його у візочку, а заодно забрати посилку з місцевого відділення "Нової Пошти", яку замовила дружина. Ми неквапливо йшли вздовж дороги, насолоджуючись весняною погодою. Сонце яскраво світило, листя на деревах ще не розпустилося, але на деяких уже набубнявіли бруньки. Тепло розбудило й мурашок у великому мурашнику біля дороги в лісі — вони вилізли зі своїх ходів і вже активно ворушилися, починаючи свою весняну працю.

When we picked up the package and decided to head home, I suggested to my wife that we take a walk through the forest. I wanted to admire how the sunlight filtered through the branches, casting reddish reflections. It was truly beautiful. However, inside the forest, it turned out to be much darker than I had expected—half-lit, with no sunbeams breaking through the trees. But as we left the forest and approached our street, I noticed how the sunlight beautifully illuminated an old cross standing at the corner of an abandoned house. That sight was so picturesque that it made up for the lack of sunlight in the woods. Overall, we were happy with our walk—if not for one little but—Maksym was a bit fussy, so we had to take turns carrying him in our arms since he absolutely refused to ride in the stroller. 😅	Коли ми забрали посилку й вирішили повертатися додому, я запропонував дружині прогулятися через ліс. Хотілося помилуватися тим, як сонце освітлює дерева, проникаючи крізь гілляччя червонуватими відблисками. Це справді було дуже красиво. Щоправда, у самому лісі виявилося значно темніше, ніж я сподівався — напівморок і жодного сонячного проміння, що пробивалося б крізь гілки. Проте, коли ми вийшли з лісу й наблизилися до нашої вулиці, я помітив, як сонце гарно освітлює старий хрест, встановлений на розі закинутого будинку. Ця картина була настільки мальовничою, що компенсувала нестачу світла в лісі. Загалом, ми залишилися задоволені прогулянкою, якби не одне "але"—Максим трохи вередував, тому нам доводилося нести його по черзі на руках, бо у візочку їхати він категорично відмовлявся. 😅
