This comic is completely human-made by me. However the time exists already where skilled computer programmers can take all of my comics and train an AI model to make completely new comics. They can do this by feeding and training the AI model on all of my pre-existing comics work--decades worth of it.
Since I have also written many all-text books (such as Star Chosen), they can also feed that into the training model to get more of my thinking patterns. I suppose they can also have it scrape my social media presence to capture yet another side of my writing style. Then what?
Out comes a literally endless supply of "Joe Chiappetta" computer generated art and comics. Is that a good thing? Is that a bad thing? I cannot say either way. It largely depends on who controls the AI model, and will I--as an artist--retain fair economic compensation for that AI model's production. What I can say for sure is that what my AI model creates will be a distinctly DIFFERENT thing--not that anyone could ever tell the difference.
