Greetings friends. A few days ago I made a post of another character that I added to my Pokémon collection. Today I bring you another little known but very cute character, I mean Bellsprout. This is a plant type Pokémon, of which I have made two, Oddish and Gloom.

The last one I made was Jigglypuff, a lovely little figure that in my opinion is the most adorable of all the Pokémon. In the link below you can see the full post.

Well, today I'm going to show you the step by step of how I made this figurine. Join me in the creative process of such a cute character:

Saludos amigos. Hace unos días hice una publicación de otro personaje que añadí a mi colección de Pokémon. Hoy les traigo otro personaje poco conocido pero que es muy bonito, me refiero a Bellsprout. Este es un Pokémon tipo planta, de los cuales he hecho dos, Oddish y Gloom.

El último que hice fue el de Jigglypuff, una encantadora figurita que en mi opinión es la mas adorable de todos los Pokémon. En el enlace de abajo pueden ver la publicación completa.

Pues bien, hoy voy a mostrarles el paso a paso de cómo hice esta figurita. Acompáñenme en el proceso creativo de tan simpático personaje:

Step by step

Well friends, the first thing I did to make this figure was to think of a skeleton, because by the shape of Bellsprout I knew that the construction of the character would not be easy. Mostly because of its twig shape.

What I mean is that his body is very thin and the head is huge, so the issue of balance would not be an easy thing to do. However, I made the wire skeleton to cover it later with plasticine.

Paso a paso

Bien amigos, lo primero que hice para hacer esta figura fue pensar en un esqueleto, pues por la propia forma de Bellsprout sabía que no sería sencilla la contrucción del personaje. Más que todo por la forma que tiene de ramita.

Lo que quiero decir es que su cuerpo es muy delgado y la cabeza es enorme, así que el tema del equilibrio no sería algo fácil de hacer. Sin embargo, ahí hice el esqueleto de alambre para cubrirlo luego con plastilina.

I used brown plasticine, I barely covered the wire with the plasticine, because the idea was not to make it too thick, but something thin and similar to Bellsprout's body, which, as I said, is a twig.

If you look at the image below, I covered the whole wire skeleton with the plasticine, except for what would be the arms, as these are for some leaves that Bellsprout has on the sides.

Usé plastilina marrón, cubrí apenas el alambre con la plastilina, pues la idea era que no fuese demasiado grueso, sino algo delgado y que fuese similar al cuerpo de Bellsprout que, como dije, es una ramita.

Si se fijan en la imagen de abajo, cubrí todo el esqueleto de alambre con la plastilina, salvo lo que serían los brazos, pues estos son para unas hojas que tiene Bellsprout a los lados.

Precisely these leaves I made them as if they were two flattened water droplets. Once they have this flattened shape, you have to make a slit in the middle of the leaf, running from end to end.

Subsequently it should be bent a little, as if it were a real blade, which are a little bent in the middle and sharp at the end.

Precisamente estas hojitas las hice como si fuesen dos gostas de agua, pero aplastadas. Una vez que tienen esta forma aplastada hay que hacer una hendidura en medio de la hoja, que la recorra de extremo a extremo.

Posteriormente se debe doblar un poco, vamos como si fuese una hoja de verdad, que son un poquito doblaras en el medio y afiladas en el extremo.

It should be noted that I made these leaves thick, they are not thin at all. I did this in such a way that they could be attached to the wire that I left on the skeleton that I had made earlier.

Cabe destacar que estas hojas las hice gruesas, no son para nada delgadas. Esto lo hice de tal modo que se pudieran fijar en el alambre que dejé en el esqueleto que ya había hecho anteriormente.

The head of Bellsprout is a curiosity. It looks like a pot with a big mouth, but tilted downwards, with eyes as well.

Thinking about the shape I described, I made just that, a not so thin pot, with a hole in the upper part. I painted this hole black with paint, then I made a circle of pink plasticine, which would be the mouth of the Pokémon.

La cabeza de Bellsprout es toda una curiosidad. Parece una vasija con una gran boca, pero inclinada hacia abajo, con ojos además.

Pensando en esta forma que les describí, hice precisamente eso, una vasija no tan delgada, con un agujero en la parte superior. Este agujero lo pinté de color negro con pintura, luego le hice un circulo de plastilina rosada, que sería la boca del Pokémon.

The last thing I did was to place the eyes, a pair of black dots with other white dots in certain positions to give the appearance that they were shining.

Ya lo último que hice fue colocarle los ojos, un par de puntitos negros con otros puntitos blancos en ciertas posiciones para dar la apariencia de que brillaban.
