Process in pictures - Proceso en imágenes

My first design and digital art of the year. For this I just let myself flow, I chose images at random, images that called to me, that had something special to draw my attention to. I had no idea what the final result would be like, I let myself be guided by intuition, but it was clear to me that it had to have a particular energy. An energy from another place or that unites several worlds, perhaps worlds in the universe or worlds distant by oceans and unite those worlds, like a map of dreams.

It was also clear to me that the moon has that particular energy and a representative of that magic is the wolf, so I mixed pinks, yellows and blues, trees, textures, abstracts and more and just let myself flow as if my inner self was doing the designing and so it was. Something simple but with the expectation that this pure, internal and magical energy will be the one that governs this new year. A very happy new year to all!

Design process

The design was made entirely in Photoshop CS6 without using AI, but eight royalty free images distributed in layers within the program.

For the background I chose a pink texture, as my favourite colour and starting point, on which I placed a landscape in two layers with mergers of overlay and focal light but adding to those two layers a quartered filter to make it look like a watercolour. And on top of this I could some autumn leaves with the focal light fusion.

Then I worked on an abstract image that I duplicated several times and changed position and scale filling the whole environment of the design. Then I combined those layers creating a single layer, duplicated it and used difference and lighten fusions, generating very crazy colours that surprised me. In the middle of these two layers, I placed a blue texture as if it was ice or some strange material, in two layers and with the mergers of soft light and lighter colour.

I selected the moon and placed it in the design in two layers with soft light and lighter colour fusions. I placed the image of the woman on one side of the design in two layers with fusions of focal light and over exposing colour, erasing in the last one almost all the background and part of the hair. Between these two layers I placed the wolf with focal light. The result was interesting.

Finally I selected one of the woman's eyes and to make it stand out I copied and painted enhancing the light and contrast. But first I put a layer of that abstract image over the woman's face with soft light, generating a bluish colour. Finally I duplicated the layer of autumn leaves and placed it around the woman's face, erasing the centre to show her features.

Mi primer diseño y arte digital del año. Para esto sólo me deje fluir, elegí imágenes al azar, imágenes que me llamaran, que tuvieran algo especial en la que mi atención se posara. No tenía idea como sería el resultado final, me dejé guiar por la intuición, pero si tenía claro que tenía que tener una energía particular. Una energía de otro lugar o que una varios mundos, quizá mundos en el universo o mundo distantes por océanos y unir a esos mundos, como un mapa de sueños.

También tenía claro que la luna tiene esa energía particular y un representante de esa magia es el lobo, por lo que mezclé rosas, amarillos y azules, árboles, texturas, abstractos y más y simplemente me dejé fluir como si mi yo interno fuera quien diseñaba y así fue. Algo sencillo, pero con la expectativa de que esta energía pura, interna y mágica sea la que gobierne este año nuevo. ¡¡¡Muy feliz año para todos!!!

Proceso del diseño

El diseño fue realizado enteramente en Photoshop CS6 sin utilizar IA, sino ocho imágenes libres de derechos de autor y distribuidas 16 en capas dentro del programa.

Para el fondo elegí una textura rosada, como mi color favorito y punto de partida, sobre la que coloqué un paisaje en dos capas con fusiones de superponer y luz focal, pero añadiendo a esas dos capas un filtro cuarteado para que pareciera una acuarela. Y sobre esto pude unas hojas de otoño con la fusión de luz focal.

Luego trabajé una imagen abstracta que dupliqué varias veces y cambié de posición y escala llenando todo el entorno del diseño. Luego combiné esas capas creando una sola, la dupliqué y usé fusiones de diferencia y aclarar, generando así colores muy locos que me sorprendieron. En medio de estas dos capas, coloque una textura azul como si fuera hielo o algún material extraño, en dos capas y con las fusiones de luz suave y color más claro.

Seleccioné la luna y la coloqué en el diseño en dos capas con fusiones de luz suave y color más claro. Puse la imagen de la mujer en un lado del diseño en dos capas con fusiones de luz focal y sobre exponer color, borrando en la última casi todo el fondo y parte del cabello. Entre estas dos capas coloqué al lobo con luz focal. Quedó interesante el resultado.

Finalmente seleccioné un ojo de la mujer y para que resalte copié y pequé realzando la luz y el contraste. Pero antes puse una capa de esa imagen abstracta sobre el rostro de la mujer son luz suave, generando un color azulado. Por último, dupliqué la capa de las hojas de otoño y la coloqué alrededor del rostro de la mujer, borrando el centro para que se vean sus facciones.
