The month of October marks 7 years since I first minted art on the blockchain, I am an old timer, a cryptoart hag if you will π€£
I was lucky enough early on to be invited to SuperRare not too long after their launch. At the time I obviously had no idea NFTs would blow up like they did and most artists who are now considered legendary were selling their art for like 5$ and t was a load of fun.
I was blessed with some sales and was really surprised too see that there were people willing to buy my digital art and I think it really gave me the kick in the butt to refine my craft and get better :)
a 2018 series of self portraits titled Sometimes I Scare Myself:

In 2020 we felt it was a great time to launch an NFT platform on HIVE and NFT Showroom was born <3
The first NFT I minted on the platform was this ridiculous clown, we were testing the mint function as we were preparing the site to go live and @aggroed asked me to mint something and I whipped this beauty together π€£

Since then I have created hundreds of artworks across a multitude of platforms ( a few of which are now defunct, Async, knownorigin and makersplace). I've also collected a ton of art, I don't have totals for other platforms but on NFT Showroom I have collected 443 artworks 0_0

As you can see I have tried to use a lot of my sales profits on supporting other artists on the platform. Lots of artists have been kind enough to send me art as well which is so generous <3
I send all my collected art over to the alien museum which you can browse here (make sure to check both the gallery and collection tabs!)

I currently have loads of art minted at very low prices, HIVE is low so let's say they are all on sale :D If you have never browsed my gallery here it is:

Here is a compilation of some of my favorite still artworks that I put together (I also have a lot of GIF, MP4 and musical art that I did not include here!)
Cheers to 7 years of art on chain and to another 7 π₯
To follow on twitter, personal account, Alien Art Hive Community account <3

Do you think it's worth it? I think about all the time it takes. It's depressing that not many people post either. I like your creations!
The market for art has definitely slowed, I think collecting art has always been kind of a luxury, ie: it's something we WANT but not something we NEED. Times seem to be very tough all over the world, however I am happy to continue minting everything because I see it as a very clear record of my creations, like a diary :)
Yes, that's true. In the past, people traded art for food for a living, I'm sure many artists did that. After their death, they became collectors' items for the rich who immediately wanted that particular painting. When you have so much money and can buy everything, I don't think it's worth anything! Damn Picasso and Miro.....
Happy Cryptoart Birthday!π Iβm glad I met you here!
TY so much Aemile <3
(also just realized I wasn't following you!!! I kind of stopped following people after communities got introduced because that's my preferred way of browsing now LOL)
Many, many congratulations, many happy returns and great work!!! I congratulate you.!!!
