Hello, dear creative community ;)
Today it was time once again for my Splinterlands Fan Art Sketchbook... At first i thought it was going to be a bit of a disaster, starting with the type of paper, which isn't my favorite, but as i fill it with new drawings, i've fallen in love with how this mini gallery is turning out.
For this occasion, i chose a card that was actually one of the first cards i saw and saved for when i decided to participate in the fan art challenge, but for some reason i always ended up drawing some other character. Finally, i went back to the beginning, and it was time to give shape to this creature that i love.
Iziar

Iziar is the last of the Blesog, a faction of storm giants that hail from the peaks of the Agniavas. It has been a decade since her beloved fell, stricken by time, and now his bones lie beneath the cold, crystalline ground of one of the range's tallest peaks. But before he passed on, he left Iziar with a gift, the seed of new life. She holds this keepsake deep inside her, teaching and preparing her unborn children for the day when she passes on and they must find their own way in the world.Splinterlands.com
Sketching | Outlining

Late at night, my creative moment began. I picked up my pencil and gave shape to this beautiful creature. Although i admit that i got a little frustrated in the process, because sometimes i'm not very convinced by the shape or some detail of the drawing, and it crosses my mind to change projects and maybe start a new one. But there was no way i was going to let my mind sabotage me from drawing the first character that caught my attention when i started exploring the game cards. I think it's pretty obvious why this creature caught my attention. It looks a lot like the creatures i usually draw and has that mysterious quality that i like.
I persevered despite my mental obstacles, sketched with my drawing pen, and decided to start with the background color. Sometimes i can better organize the rest of the colors and techniques when i decide on a base background color.

Preparing The Base Colors | Alcohol Markers
To make it more practical and easier, i did all the base tones with alcohol markers. Since this type of paper is not the most suitable for markers, i don't like to use this technique throughout the entire process because, in my opinion, it doesn't give a good finish, so i complement it with other techniques.

Coloring Pencils
Once the base layer was finished, which i think was the most relaxing part, it was time to color with my pencils. Although it's not the fastest or most comfortable technique, at this point i think it was. I love adding dark tones with alcohol markers to create a chalkboard effect and then using colored pencils as if they were pastel chalks. In fact, for this method, i have to use paper to protect the drawing from the friction of my hand, as it tends to smudge the work i'm doing. I had to repeat and go over the corset part several times because i forgot to put the protective paper down.

Last Details
For this part, i added the final details with magenta and yellow colored pencils, adding a few lines to create small reflections and highlights... And with acrylic markers, i added the final sparkles. Even so, i had to add a frame to give it a little more of my style, and of course, at the end, i added pointillism to the background, just because of my obsession.

The End
And that's how this new fan art of the legendary Iziar turned out. I really liked the colors, which were a bit different from the previous ones, which were more vibrant. This one turned out to be more subtle. And that's it for this creative post, Thank you for appreciating it. ;) 💜
