๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿš€๐Ÿคฎ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿš€TIL You Can't Burb In Space ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿš€๐Ÿคฎ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿš€

Here's a fun yet totally useless fact I stumbled upon today.

Apparently, you can't burb on space. At least not without making a total mess which is the last thing you want in a space station.

On Earth, the basic science of burning is this. Gravity pulls all the liquids and solids down while the gases can escape from your mouth. With enough pressure...you burb.

However, on space things are different. There's no gravity to help separate gases from the other stuff.

As a result, only a "wet" burn is difficult. Which means it won't be gases coming out of your mouth.

Which is why astronauts try to avoid burbing as much as they can. Just imagine your launch flying around in thousands of pieces in the ISS ๐Ÿ™ƒ

Disgusting and probably dangerous ๐Ÿ˜‚

So yeah... If you ever take a space trip just don't burb

Here's a fun link if you'd like to read more on the science of burbing in space ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿš€๐Ÿคฎ

Ok frens, this is it for today.

Have a good one ๐Ÿ˜‚

That sounds interesting. I guess it would just be a wet mess if they did any burping.

Even on Earth, sometimes our launch comes out of our mouth while burbing :)

Fun fact that I did not know, very interesting! I think I'll avoid space travel though, I hear bathrooms are complicated in zero gravity!

Heres an interesting fact... People are not actually up "in space", and the reason why they experience the perception of weightlessness, isnt because of the lack of gravity, but because of gravity... its hard to wrap your brain around this fact!! But once you understand that the effect of weightlessness is due to free fall due to gravity, because theyre travelling at 17500mph(approx) horizontally, they technically fall at the rate at which the curvature of the earth falls. For every horizontal foot travelled, they fall one foot vertically, and this mat hes the curvature of the earth, and so the distance from the surface of the earth always remains the same.

In a nutshell, theyre not weightless, just in a constant freefall
