Oceanogràfic València (ENG-ESP)

Si había algo que me tenía demasiado emocionada era empezar, por fin, las verdaderas vacaciones. Después de tantos días intensos con el jubileo, al fin venían esos días extra para respirar, conocer y disfrutar de una ciudad que, hasta ese momento, era completamente nueva para mí.

Desde que supe de la existencia del Oceanogràfic, que es el acuario más grande de Europa, supe que tenía que ir sí o sí. Me llamaba demasiado la atención. Y como el vuelo directo desde Roma salía más económico hacia Valencia que hacia Madrid, aprovechamos.

Ese día comenzó de la mejor manera posible: desayunamos comida colombiana en un local que estaba justo al lado del Airbnb. Después de tantos días comiendo croissant con mermelada y juguito italiano, encontrarnos con un desayuno tan rico se sintió como un abrazo desde Latinoamérica.

If there was one thing that had me really excited, it was finally starting my real vacation. After so many intense days with the jubilee, I finally had some extra time to breathe, explore, and enjoy a city that, until then, was completely new to me.

Ever since I found out about the Oceanogràfic, which is the largest aquarium in Europe, I knew I had to go. It caught my attention too much. And since the direct flight from Rome was cheaper to Valencia than to Madrid, we took advantage of it.That day started in the best possible way: we had Colombian food for breakfast at a place right next to the Airbnb. After so many days of eating croissants with jam and Italian juice, finding such a delicious breakfast felt like a hug from Latin America.

Cuando llegamos al Oceanogràfic quedé encantada desde el minuto uno. El lugar es enorme y cada espacio es como entrar a un mundo diferente. Vi de todo: tortugas marinas gigantes, tiburones que pasaban justo por encima mientras caminábamos por esos túneles subacuáticos, medusas preciosas, caballitos de mar diminutos, y hasta delfines, focas y pingüinos super tiernos.

When we arrived at the Oceanogràfic, I was enchanted from the very first minute. The place is huge, and each space is like entering a different world. I saw everything: giant sea turtles, sharks swimming right above us as we walked through those underwater tunnels, beautiful jellyfish, tiny seahorses, and even dolphins, seals, and super cute penguins.

También había aves hermosas y zonas donde el ambiente cambiaba por completo. Había mucha gente, pero aún así cada espacio tenía algo que te atrapaba. Estar allí, viendo toda esa vida marina tan de cerca, rodeándote por todos lados, fue mágico.

There were also beautiful birds and areas where the atmosphere changed completely. There were a lot of people, but even so, each space had something that captivated you. Being there, seeing all that marine life up close, surrounding you on all sides, was magical.

Al final asistimos al show de delfines, y honestamente fue el cierre perfecto, muy dinámico, entretenido y didáctico.

In the end, we attended the dolphin show, and honestly, it was the perfect ending—very dynamic, entertaining, and educational.

Cuando terminamos ya estábamos muriendo de hambre, así que cruzamos al centro comercial que está prácticamente al frente. No quisimos comer dentro del Oceanogràfic porque los precios estaban un poquito elevados. En el centro comercial había de todo, pero terminamos en “100 montaditos”, donde pedimos cervezas, tinto de verano y varios pancitos con distintos rellenos. Rico, sencillo, económico y justo lo que necesitábamos para recargar energías y seguir en nuestra próxima parada.

When we finished, we were starving, so we crossed over to the shopping center that's practically across the street. We didn't want to eat inside the Oceanogràfic because the prices were a little high. The shopping center had everything, but we ended up at “100 montaditos,” where we ordered beers, red wine, and several sandwiches with different fillings. Delicious, simple, inexpensive, and just what we needed to recharge our batteries and continue on to our next stop.
