Romantic Vibes, The Stunning Zero Point Of Yogyakarta Indonesia

When people are asked if they have a choice to fall in love in which city, most will answer Yogyakarta City. So do I who will answer the same thing, I want to always fall in love many times in Yogyakarta.

The romantic impression will always remain in the sky of Yogyakarta. Indeed, the city of Bali is more popular but Yogyakarta actually has similar vibes but low budget. So, the choice to visit Yogyakarta can really save money like what I did now.

I will share a trip to the city center, the center of the public area in Yogyakarta, namely the "Titik Nol Yogyakarta (Zero Point of Yogyakarta)". The beautiful sky will be the illustration of my travel writing this time.

From my house, I walked to Gawok Station. I will take the KRL. Only pay IDR 8K or $ 0.5. The trip takes about 1 hour.

From Gawok Station, then I got off at Lempuyangan Station. Since this was my first time in Yogyakarta, I got off at this station, which is also close to the city center. It's just that it's closer to get off at Yogyakarta Station. Later when I go home I will go home from Yogyakarta Station.

From Lempuyangan Station, I also ordered online transportation to another tourist spot, a museum because it was hot. But later I will also share about the trip to this museum. Only from the museum did I continue my journey to Titik Nol Yogyakarta.

Golden hours, towards sunset or towards dark is the right time to visit the Titik Nol Yogyakarta area. We can enjoy the romantic atmosphere around this public area.

"Titik Nol Yogyakarta (Zero Point of Yogyakarta)" is known as a center of trade and also government. We can see the white gate which is a sign of the Keraton area, a kingdom in the past.

IMG_20250528_164947.jpg
Currently, the Keraton is used as a cultural tourism that is open to the public. However, this time I did not stop at the Keraton Yogyakarta, because it was already evening, almost dark. So I wanted to enjoy the nuances of the streets at Titik Nol Yogyakarta.

The surrounding area is very clean. Neatly arranged, the streets are neatly cemented with natural stone types that are comfortable for pedestrians and vehicles.

Many seats are placed on the sides of the streets for visitors. And the characteristic of this romantic city is the classic city lights.

The combination of classic city lights with the beautiful sky after sunset. It reminds me of the romantic movie "La La Land" :).

Have you ever watched that movie? Indeed, if you look at the pictures, the color of the sky is not exactly the same, but in my opinion, the pictures have a romantic and dramatic vibe. Right?

IMG_20250528_173946.jpg

The crazy thing that I first found on a trip to popular places was the sea of people! How crazy this is. Because I was so confused, I didn't take pictures of crowded areas, and I only took pictures from certain angles.

It's better to come to Titik Nol Yogyakarta on weekdays. But if you only have time on weekends, it doesn't matter. Sometimes the crowds in popular places actually create an excited vibe like we are at a favorite singer's concert.

IMG_20250528_173745.jpg
The red light crossing area seems to hypnotize many people, including me. Especially when the sun starts to set and the sky starts to change color to be very beautiful!

IMG_20250528_173645.jpg

The white buildings which are classic buildings actually add their own beauty to the portraits of moments captured by visitors.

IMG_20250528_174101.jpg
There is a landmark, "Jogja Kota Batik Dunia" which is used as a background for visitors to take photos to indicate that visitors have visited Titik Nol Yogyakarta.

IMG_20250528_173449.jpg
We can also enjoy the romantic vibes of Titik Nol Yogyakarta by sitting in the cafes there. There are many choices and you can see reviews on Google first if you are in doubt.

Alun-alun Yogyakarta closed to the Palace

From Titik Nol Yogyakarta we can continue walking to the palace area with several museum choices and Alun-Alun, or we can walk backwards to the location of "Malioboro Street" a popular favorite street which is the identity of Yogyakarta for tourists. I'll tell you about that later.

IMG_20250528_165224.jpg
Indeed, through Titik Nol Yogyakarta we see that the city of Yogyakarta has now changed into a busy city! Although a small city but already crowded with tourists. But it is still very and very worthy to enjoy the romantic vibes in this location.

I who have not been to this place for several years feel the beautiful calm atmosphere again. I look up at the beautiful sky of Yogyakarta, like love that you can feel many times even in the most magical way :)

Duh...jadi kangen Yogyakarta juga ini aku.
The last time I went there was Juli 2010, together with @jaki01 for our first anniversary 😊😍.
OMG... So long already. We bought Wayang Kulit Jatayu and nearly lost it at Malioboro LOL.
We went to an ATM box to withdraw some cash and put the Wayang aside then we did window shopping along Malioboro.
30 minutes later I suddenly realised that something was missing, our Jatayu was gone 🙈.
It's So expensive... then we walked back hoping that it's still there (we happened to choose the ATM at the deepest corner).
We're so lucky that it's indeed still there after so long LOL.
We had donated nearly everything we had when we sold our house and migrate...but we kept that Wayang Jatayu And brought It with us to the Philippine.
It holds a special memory for us afterall ❤️ and it's a very beautiful art piece.

Glad you kept wayang Jatayu until now ❤️
Jogja always be fav place to visit, recall memories for sure.

From Solo, we can use KRl only with 8K IDR 😊 so I will often go to Jogja

Certainly, the sky is an important piece in the photography of landscapes and cityscapes.

From the photographies shown we see that it is a beautiful city, and we also observe that the architecture has an important influence of European (Dutch?) architecture, I suppose that it comes from the colonial times.

Best regards.

Greetings @anggreklestari, what a beautiful place! The view is breathtaking. I love the lampposts with their beautiful lantern-shaped lights. Adding it to my bucket list. ❤️🌷

Happy weekend!

Although I have not visited Yogyakarta, I can say that I loved it after seeing the photos. It looks like the city of Antalya in Turkey.
I congratulate you on Eid al-Adha. Wishing you and your family a beautiful holiday. Greetings.

I just got back from there last week, this place is always something I miss. I've been there a few times and I even dream of living and growing old there. I hope we can go on vacation there together 🥰

Looks like a truly beautiful place!

I love the openness of it; so different from crowded narrow streets... even though there are obviously a lot of people out and about, it doesn't feel cramped and noise; how cities "made for people" should be!

You’ve captured the heart of Yogyakarta so beautifully. The way you described the golden hour, the city lights, and the peaceful streets brings out its romantic charm. Loved the La La Land reference too! It’s not about the colors, but the feeling. 🩵

Truly a magical place! Thank you for sharing. I have never been to Indonesia and I hope someday I can travel in this country. Your photos are inviting and motivate me a lot that I need to visit Indonesia soon❤️

Such romantic vibes indeed! @anggreklestari looks absolutely magical! definitely adding this to our travel bucket list.

Thank you for sharing some really beautiful photos of Yogyakarta! Maybe one day I can be there, too, one never knows...

I can't believe how stunning this place is, @anggreklestari ! I use to just teach this amazing place to my students! nothing really beats visiting places and seeing these amazing spots in the flesh. Thanks so much for these photos!💖

You captured not just the beauty of Yogyakarta, but its soul. Yogyakarta is a kind of love story, unfolding in the streets, in the silence, in the colors of the evening sky.

This place is excellent; it's inspiring to see how much beauty and experience you've found on a low-budget trip to Titik Nol. This is fun, and sometimes unplanned detours are the best. Thanks for sharing your journey. Have a great day!

Thank you for sharing. Time to nudge my husband to bring me to over to this beautiful place

Beautiful showcase of the place sister! Well done! The cover photo is just so nice

I truly appreciate the beauty of Yogyakarta during the golden hour ✨ Great shots! 💖 Thank you for sharing this wonderful trip ☺️

The street has an expensive look. There's lots of people like everyone wanted this place to relax and chill.

Great view, have a pleasant holiday sis

keren sekali, nice

Terima kasih

Wow. What a unique landscape and landscape !!!

Beautiful photos 😍

It is a really beautiful space to find your partner for life.

Great work, worthy of imitation

Image 2 - The angle of the photo with these reddish clouds gave the image an extra highlight, it looks like it was made by artificial intelligence.

Visiting Yogyakarta during golden hour is truly special, isn’t it? So peaceful and beautiful.

The place was so beautiful.❤️

The pictures are romantic and culturally rich. Yogyakarta looks like a place where history and modernity combine. A place worth visiting.

I love how the structures are made and the park is so stunning. When you mentioned about "lalaland" it was the first thing that also comes to mind. I am amaze on how you took the pictures I wish I could level up my skills too especially on photography.

Such a cool (and beautiful) place! It looks like a movie set (specially the main square).
