Eid Trip in Istanbul / İstanbul’da Bayram Gezisi 🧭

in Worldmappinlast month

Hello everyone, I hope you are well and everything is fine.
Yesterday at noon, we went travelling with my friend and my wife. Actually, we didn't have such a plan, but we didn't want to spend the feast day at home. At least we wanted to go out and catch the mood of the feast and distract ourselves. So much so that we left behind a very nice and enjoyable day.

People want to spend the Eid days with their family, but circumstances and situations sometimes prevent this. I spent the last 4-5 holidays away from my family. I had some hope for this holiday, but the result was disappointing again.
As I mentioned above, at least we went out travelling to relieve this bitterness. I hope we will celebrate the first coming Eid with my family.
On this occasion, I congratulate you and your family on Eid.

My mate picked us up at 2.00 p.m. One of the best things about yesterday was that we went out by car. In normal times, it can be difficult to go somewhere by car due to traffic density, but since it was a holiday, most of the roads were empty. I can say that we almost never waited in traffic.
Firstly, on the insistent recommendation of my friend, we went to the pavilion in Beykoz. It was really a perfect place. I think I will share this place under a separate heading in the coming days.
In the following days, we went to Küçüksu Pavilion and then to the nation garden in Beykoz.

Before stepping into the national garden, we bought cold drinks and seeds from the market and parked the car in a suitable place.
The inside of the park was not overcrowded. We had no difficulty in finding an empty camellia. We were quite tired until we got here. Sitting in the shade of the trees and chatting took our tiredness. The weather was so nice in the garden that I never wanted to get up. So much so that we spent about an hour and a half here. 😅

After leaving here, we took the coastal road and continued in the direction of Üsküdar. Towards the evening we went up to the big Çamlıca hill. Our purpose of coming here was actually to eat at the restaurant. Due to the feast, the hours were updated and it was closed yesterday. While we were exchanging ideas about where to eat, my friend said that the pancake restaurant might be open and that they were very good. After seeing that it was open as he said, we immediately joined the queue.

Çamlıça hill was quite crowded as you can see in the photos. While my friend and my wife were waiting in line for pancakes, I looked for a table to sit but there was no empty place. While looking for a table, I noticed people sitting on the grass and we sat on the grass after we bought the pancakes. Moreover, it was right against the sunset view. If we sat at the table, maybe we would have been deprived of this view. 😄

Besides the beauty of the view, the pancakes were also very good. We consumed them with tea. As the sun was about to set, it got a little cold. We left the hill without spending too much time.
Yesterday was a full day for us. We really had a lot of fun.
Thank you very much to my friend who accompanied us and organised yesterday. Hope you have a wonderful day.

What a wonderful way to spend the holiday! My favorite part is sitting on the grass with a pancake on the right hand and a drinks on the left hand, savoring both the food and the view. This looks relaxing.

I know how hard it can be to spend these special days apart from family. But you made the most of it with some wonderful moments and great company. Catching that beautiful sunset is a perfect way to lift your spirits.

I'm so glad you understand my situation. It can be even sadder to be alone at times like this. Having a good time makes you forget the sad times a little. Thank you for your visit

True, having good moments can help soften the sadness, even if just for a little while. Have a great day!

I know many are hoping to spend Eid with their families, but sometimes life gets in the way. But that's okay as you still find time to be with them. And seeing the place makes me think that you and your family are enjoying that moment. Thank you for sharing your story @bilgin70
