How are you, hivers?

Today I want to give you a tour with this view of Paling-Paling Road when you're heading to our place, which is known as the Summer Capital of Cebu/The Little Baguio of Cebu. This road has developed recently, maybe in the 2010s. This is what we called the Paling-Paling Road, located in the boundary of Barangay Obo and Barangay Sacsac, both barangays in Dalaguete, Cebu. I don't know where its name originated, but I remembered those times when we passed by when this place hadn't been constructed; there was only one way or one lane passable, so every time the driver entered the narrowed road, the driver had to blow the vehicle's horn so that the opposite car traversing would also know there's a vehicle and adjust to wait for the vehicle to pass by. As what my ancestors said, Barangay Obo came from the word of people doing a construction that they needed to 'obo' or lay down in order to make that road. I don't know if it's true. hehe

This is the comparison of Paling-Paling Road before and after it was constructed and got a decent two-lane road.

The view facing the paling-paling road.

This road is well-known for its relaxing and calming view for those who want to breathe fresh air and jog every morning or in the afternoon. As you can see, the greenery is at its finest. There you can find the fog where you say that heaven goes down on earth. Behind those mountains are a river from highland areas from Mantalongon to Barangay Langkas and a river from the highlands of Mantalongon to the Mag-alambak River, which we call twin rivers because they have different starting points, but those two rivers meet at Barangay Obo. This river connects down to Poblacion, Dalaguete, Cebu, to the sea. This view is good when you're on a jog early in the morning and also in the late afternoon. There you can find solace and peace of mind; just don't think to jump when you're depressed. This road is very important to all of us residing in highland or mountainous areas and also for people living in coastal areas. This is the only way that connects Población, Dalaguete, Cebu, to Mantalongon, Dalaguete, Cebu. Also, many tourists have a quick drop here going to Badian. And now this road has fully developed through the efforts of the government. I'd love how they make the mountain just like a staircase or hagdan-hagdan layer. Also, the residents, or maybe the efforts of the barangay, planted a bougainvillea flower on the first layer of the mountain, but it has not fully grown well; maybe sooner we can see a bougainvillea flower there.
