Today, we’re heading back to Tovar Colony, but this time to one of the most incredible places I’ve ever visited. Since I was a child, I’ve always been fascinated by architecture—the design of houses, whether on flat surfaces, elevated spots, or even in trees. Being in a treehouse was a childhood dream.

It was the second stop on our tour aboard a Kawasaki that took us through the iconic town. On the way there, we passed by some homes with unique architectural styles. The most distinctive feature of the buildings is their white walls and red clay-colored wood paneling.

Along the same route, we passed other interesting buildings—some covered in bushes, others with eye-catching windows, and even an iconic shop that houses a branch of Bera (Bera is a motorcycle store in Venezuela).

One of the houses that most caught my eye before reaching the treehouse was this one. I snapped a quick photo, but its beauty and preservation were remarkable. It was a beautiful, sophisticated place, and very secure.
When we arrived at the treehouse, the first thing we did was park the Kawasaki. There’s a separate area right in front of the entrance where cars can be parked without any trouble. The mountain view from there is breathtaking.

The aesthetics of the place blend beautifully with nature and the mountains of Tovar Colony. The entrance itself was very pleasing—it harmonized with the surroundings. The natural symbiosis was delightful, and the garden had its own kind of magic.
From the entrance, you can see a massive mountain. The view is a masterpiece of nature and a testament to Venezuela’s beauty. This vast country is full of green mountains like this, but there are few precious places where you can truly appreciate them. This is one of those places.

I’m sharing several photographs in different dimensions to better reflect what I experienced. This isn’t about validation—it’s an emotional and genuine perception of what I saw. I felt it in my soul, on my skin—I truly witnessed it.
To enter the treehouse, there’s a $1 entrance fee. This helps with the conservation and maintenance of the house, which has been suspended in a tree for over 16 years. We paid a total of $3 in cash (it’s best to pay this way; they do have a card machine, but cash is more convenient).
At first, we were unsure about paying to enter, but we did it—the idea was to live the experience. The entrance is magical. The railings are made of sticks and resemble a scene from a children’s movie or fantasy film, especially because of the lights.

Here’s one of the photos I took up close. It reminded me of Snow White’s house—small, with a circular window on the second floor. The whole scene is a beautiful postcard of this magical place.
When you get to the back of the main house, there’s a space filled with trees, much like a forest. While I was there, I remembered scenes from manhwas or fairy or elf movies. The space gave off a similar atmosphere, and people walked around peacefully.

The most incredible part is that the treehouse is brown and green, with a window on the upper level. The hanging bridge is 28 meters high—pretty tall. As you walk on it, it sways, since it's a suspension bridge.
The treehouse is built on a living American cedar trunk. The thickness of that tree is enormous. In Tovar Colony, there are trees over 200 years old. There’s even a millennia-old one I wanted to visit, but I’ll save that for another time.
I wanted to take photos of the treehouse from different angles, so I moved around to capture it from various perspectives. Its beauty was astounding. The most striking part is that the tree stands over a river.
I managed to go inside, albeit with a bit of fear—but I truly enjoyed the experience. I took the opportunity to snap a few pictures. It felt amazing, mainly because I had never done anything like it before. It was exhilarating.
Inside the treehouse, you can see how it was built around the American cedar trunk. From there, you can also see the mountains and Tovar Colony—it acts like a kind of scenic lookout.
Looking down from the treehouse can make you dizzy. You also have to walk carefully, as the space is quite small. For safety reasons, only a limited number of people are allowed inside at once.
Surrounding the house is a bazaar-like area where you can buy souvenirs, food, and snacks. Part of the area is under renovation, but even so, the design is magical. Hanging lights give the space an incredibly warm energy.

One photo I particularly liked shows the color of the flowers, the orange roof, the yellow lights, and a standout German-style house. A hidden, secluded place—everything about it is beautiful.
The beauty lies in the energy, the magic, and the essence it tries to convey. The treehouse’s vitality comes from the experience you get by walking through it and admiring its design.
The surroundings, the mountains, and the flowers are all part of the experience. They are tangible memories and part of the essence and unique beauty of this country. A perfect mix of multiculturalism, tradition, and what Venezuela truly is.

El diseño de casas, ya sea en superficies planas, elevadas o en árboles. Estar en una casa en el árbol era una ilusión infantil.

Fue el segundo lugar que visitamos del tour en una Kawasaki que nos trasladaba por todo el icónico poblado. Antes de llegar ahí, pasamos por algunas casas con un modelado arquitectónico único. La característica principal de las edificaciones es el color blanco y el machimbrado de color rojo arcilla.
En ese mismo trayecto pasamos por otras edificaciones interesantes, unas llenas de arbustos, otras con ventanas atrayentes y una icónica tienda con una sucursal de Bera (Bera es una tienda de motocicletas en Venezuela).
Una de las casas que más me llamó la atención antes de llegar a la casa del árbol fue esta. Tome una fotografía rápida, pero la belleza y conservación era impecable. Un lugar hermoso y sofisticado. La casa tenía mucha seguridad.
Al llegar a la casita del árbol, lo primero que hicimos fue parquear la Kawasaki. Hay una parte separada frente a la entrada donde se pueden estacionar los carros sin ningún inconveniente. La vista de las montañas ahí es increíble.
La estética del lugar está integrada con la naturaleza y las montañas donde está la Colonia Tovar. Por otra parte, la entrada era muy estética; tenía una armonía con el ambiente. La simbiosis ambiental era agradable. El jardín tenía su propia magia.
Desde la entrada se ve una montaña inmensa. La vista es una obra maestra de la propia naturaleza y la belleza de Venezuela. Este país inmenso está lleno de montañas verdes como esta, pero hay pocos lugares preciosos donde pueden apreciarlas. Este es uno de ellos.
Dejo algunas fotografías en diferentes dimensiones para validar un poco lo que digo anteriormente. No es una convalidación, es una percepción emocional y real de lo que vi. Lo sentí en mi ser, en mi piel y lo observé.
Para entrar a la casa del árbol hay que pagar un boleto de 1 dólar. Esto con el propósito de poder ayudar a conservar las instalaciones y hacerle mantenimiento a la casa que se encuentra suspendida en un árbol desde hace más de 16 años. En total pagamos 3 dólares en efectivo (es mejor hacerlo de este modo; si cargas tarjeta, hay punto de venta).
Al principio teníamos dudas de ingresar por el pago, pero lo hicimos. La idea era vivir la experiencia. La entrada es mágica. Las barandas son de palos y simulan la escena de una película infantil o de fantasía. Principalmente, por las luces que posee.
Miremos aquí una de las fotografías que tomé de cerca de la casa. Me recordó a la casa de Blancanieves, pequeña y con una ventana circular en la segunda planta. La escena en sí misma es una postal hermosa de este lugar mágico.
Al llegar a la parte final o detrás de la casa principal, te encuentras con un espacio lleno de árboles muy similar a un bosque. Cuando estaba ahí, recordé las escenas de manhwas o películas de hadas o elfos. El espacio transmitía una escena similar y las personas caminaban tranquilamente.
Lo más increíble es que la casita en el árbol es de color marrón y verde. Además, en la parte superior tiene una ventana. El puente está a 28 metros de altura, bastante alto. Cuando caminas en él, se tambalea porque es un puente colgante.
La casita en el árbol está suspendida en un tronco de cedro americano que está vivo. El grosor de ese árbol es inmenso. En la Colonia Tovar hay árboles con más de 200 años de antigüedad. Hay uno milenario que quería visitar, pero será para una próxima ocasión.
Quería tomar fotografías en diferentes dimensiones de la casita en el árbol, así que me moví para capturar escenas en diferentes dimensiones. La belleza era impresionante. Lo más impactante es que el árbol está encima de un río.
Yo logré ingresar con mucho pavor, pero disfruté la experiencia. Aproveché para tomar algunas fotografías allí. Se sentía tan bien. Principalmente, porque era algo que no había hecho nunca. Fue emocionante.
Adentro de la casa del árbol, ves cómo esta se construyó alrededor del tronco de cedro americano. También se puede observar desde ahí las montañas y la Colonia Tovar. Sirve como una especie de mirador.
Si miras desde la casa del árbol hacia abajo, puedes sentir un mareo. También debes caminar con mucho cuidado porque es un espacio pequeño. No debe haber muchas personas en la casa por temas de seguridad.
Los alrededores de la casa tienen un espacio tipo bazar donde se pueden comprar souvenirs, comida y golosinas. Una parte de este lugar está en remodelación, pero también el diseño es mágico. Las luces colgadas en la parte superior hacen que se sienta una energía impresionante.
Particularmente, esta fotografía me gustó por el color de las flores, el techo de color naranja, las luces de color amarillo y la casa de estilo alemán que sobresale. Un lugar escondido, recóndito. Todo es hermoso.
La belleza está en la energía, en la magia y la esencia que busca transmitir. La vitalidad de la casa del árbol está en la experiencia que se puede vivir al caminar y observar la belleza de su diseño. Los alrededores, las montañas y las flores son parte de la experiencia.
