Mt. Pulag - The 3rd Highest mountain in the Philippines, known as a playground of gods!

in Worldmappin21 days ago

Truly, nothing compares to the beauty of God’s creations! Just like Mt. Pulag here in the Philippines.

Greetings to all travelers and adventurers here on hive, most especially here @worldmappin. Today I'm going ta share with you a collection of memories of our Mt. Pulag climb together with my friends.

There are many beautiful mountains in the Philippines, but Mt. Pulag stands out as one of a kind. It's unique and one of a kind because of its natural layers, just like halo-halo hehe, at the jump off you can see pine forest, as you ascend, you’ll pass through the enchanting mossy forest, higher up, you’ll find the grasslands which is also a campsite or in camp 2 and at the summit, you’ll see fields of dwarf bamboo. Isn’t that amazing? God’s creation is truly wonderful and breathtaking!

Add to that was the breathtaking “sea of clouds,” along with the stunning sunrise and sunset views, especially when you’re standing at the summit. Who would have thought that such a paradise could be found in the mountains in the town of Kabayan, Benguet? It’s even called “the playground of the gods” because of its wide, golden-brown grasslands.

I’ve climbed Mt. Pulag with my sister, cousins and nephew not just once or twice but more than ten times. Yes! When we were kids, we would join our older sister, who worked as a guide or porter for tourists. As we grew older, especially during college, hiking Mt. Pulag became our stress reliever and a way to relax and reconnect with nature after a tiring, nerve breaking and exhausting exams and school activities. Sometimes, we even brought along friends, co-workers, and acquaintances who wanted to experience hiking and who want to relax and refresh.

Mt. Pulag is perfect for mountaineering and trekking, but you must be physically fit since the trail is steep and rocky, with endless ascents until you reach Camp 2, the popular camping site. Many tourists come both local and foreign to visit the mountain and are left in awe of its beauty, though some feel disappointed by the fees or the limited services. But as they say, when you travel specially adventure like mountains, you have to be flexible and ready for small inconveniences or in short, you need to act like a cowboy hehe. What matters most is being satisfied with the experience, the beauty and cherishing the memories you create.

That’s all for today's blog, thank you so much and I hope you too get amazed by the beauty of Mt. Pulag. Thank you so much and please stay safe. Always remember to keep smiling!

Mabuhay!

Mt. Pulag reflects the natural beauty and rich culture of the Philippines. The way you described its layers from the pine forest to grasslands so amazing. I only read about this mountain in our Araling Panlipunan books during high school, so its nice to read your real experience.

That's true @dreamrona nothing beats and compare the real experience in hiking or conquering mountains. Some in the books are not existing anymore because some may changed over the time.

OMG! What a great adventure it must be! Mt. Pulag is beautiful, with the pine forest and grasslands.

That's true @jeanieviv84. It's just like a playground but the grass and dwarf bamboo are almost the same size as human hihi

Mt. Pulag is really stunning especially when you witness sunset, sunrise, and sea of clouds.

Hehe I think you need to come and visit it one day 😁. You're right, the place is so beautiful and amazing specially when we witness the sunrise, or the sunset or the sea of clouds. The feelings is undescribable most specially if you are at the summit.
