The second part of the photos from Siewierz, which I took on April 23 this year. This time I present the Church of St. Matthias the Apostle. The church dates back to the 13th century, but was rebuilt many times in later periods. The last reconstruction took place in the years 1782-1784 thanks to the Bishop of Kraków, Kajetan Sołtyk. The architectural style of the church is described as Baroque-Classicist. The 18th-century wall surrounding the church is also noteworthy. In front of the entrance to the church there are two late Baroque figures from the 18th century depicting St. John of Nepomuk and St. Florian.
An interesting bas-relief on the parish building:

I liked the last photo the most...
Mary and the Child — there is something in it that goes beyond tradition and canon. It feels as if the sculptor wasn’t simply creating, but listening — and simply conveyed what he felt.
The figure radiates extraordinary strength.
The little Christ with His outstretched arms — a gesture of openness, vulnerability, and love.
And Mary — like a tree rooted in the wall of the world, from which light grows.
This work reminded me: true holiness doesn’t shout. It quietly exists.
A very beautiful photo of the building, the appearance of the building is very interesting with very cool architecture ❤️🙏
wow, thats a beautiful church, very historic old age, such many restorations and reconstructions happens. Just like here in the Philippines, it was rebuilt about 4 times and now the church here in the Province is very and amazing. I was amazed with the different church in your pictures, very nice sculpture. Thats the church of a christian catholic religion is. Lots of sculpture. Very beautiful.
