Happy birthday, Angel Eng-Esp

Six years ago, Angel came into our world and changed my outlook on life. Everything changed forever, but it all made sense, and now we are much happier with him in our lives.

Last week was Angel's birthday, and like every November 4th, we did everything we could to make him feel special and loved. Angel has a beautiful personality. He is a calm, simple, and very happy child. His sweetness and tenderness inspire us every day. Our dream is for him to fulfill his dreams.

His birthday began with his favorite breakfast and a simple arrangement full of sweet details. After receiving this gift, he went to class. I wanted to bring him a little surprise to school, but it wasn't possible. Nevertheless, his teachers congratulated him, and he had a nice morning at school. When he left, as we do every day, we waited for his cousins, and they congratulated him with great excitement.

Hace 06 años Angel llegó a nuestro mundo y cambió la perspectiva de mi vida, todo cambió para siempre, pero todo tomó sentido y ahora somos mucho más felices con su presencia.

La semana pasada fue el cumpleaños de Angel y como cada 4 de noviembre, hicimos lo posible para hacerlo sentir especial y amado. Angel tiene una personalidad hermosa, es un niño tranquilo, sencillo y muy feliz, su dulzura y ternura nos impulsan cada día. Nuestro sueño es que él cumpla los suyos.

Su cumpleaños comenzó con su desayuno favorito y un arreglo sencillo lleno de dulces detalles. Después de recibir este detalle, fue a clases, quería llevarle una sorpresita a la escuela, pero no fue posible. De igual manera, sus profesoras lo felicitaron y pasó una linda mañana en la escuela. Al salir como cada día, esperamos a sus primos y ellos lo felicitaron con mucha emoción.

In the afternoon, we went for ice cream and then visited some stores, looking for his gift, until we found some cleats for his soccer training that he needed so badly. With his gift ready, it was time to go to his training and, of course, he wore them right away. He was excited, but he also felt strange. It was the first time he had worn this type of footwear. His coach and teammates sang “Happy Birthday” to him and, of course, christened his new shoes.

Night fell, and when Angel left practice, he received a pleasant surprise: his grandmother, aunt, and cousins had come to see him practice for the first time. This made him very happy because since they moved away, they don't spend as much time together, and he misses them a lot and wants to play and have fun with them.

Por la tarde, fuimos por un heladito y después visitamos algunas tiendas, buscando su regalo, hasta que lo encontramos unos guayos para su entrenamiento de fútbol que tanta falta le hacía. Con su regalo listo, llegó la hora de ir a su entrenamiento y por supuesto, los estreno de una vez. Él estaba emocionado, pero también se sentía extraño. Era la primera vez que usaba este tipo de calzado. Su entrenador y compañeros le cantaron cumpleaños feliz y por supuesto, le bautizaron sus zapatos nuevos.

La noche cayó y cuando Angel salió de entrenar, recibió una grata sorpresa, su abuela, su tía y sus primos, fueron a verlo por primera vez en su entrenamiento, eso lo hizo muy feliz, porque desde que se mudaron ya no pasan tanto tiempo juntos y él los extraña mucho para jugar y divertirse con ellos.

That's how his birthday ended. There was no cake that day, but there was lots of love, until Saturday when we managed to organize a party at home with the children of the family and some very special neighbors who are always there for us. This year, my family couldn't travel as they usually do, but my brother, who is his godfather, was able to be there, and that made Angel very happy because he admires him a lot.

Así culminó su día de cumpleaños, no hubo pastel ese día, pero mucho amor, hasta el sábado que logramos hacerle una reunión en casa con los niños de la familia y unos vecinos muy especiales, que siempre están presentes, este año mi familia no pudo viajar como siempre, pero mi hermano que es su padrino si pudo estar presente y eso llena de felicidad a Angel porque lo admira mucho.

We had a wonderful time together as a family, thank God, and better late than never, we surprised her grandmother with a cake and sang her birthday song, a little late, but she was traveling on her birthday.

Pasamos un rato en familia muy bonito, gracias a Dios y como más vale tarde que nunca, sorprendimos a su abuela con una torta y también le cantamos su cumpleaños, un poco atrasado, pero es que ella se encontraba de viaje el día de su cumpleaños.

To end this week of celebration, we watched his favorite movie at home and spent quality time with him. We still owe him a trip, and we hope to do so soon.

Para finalizar esta semana de celebración, vimos su película favorita en casa y pasamos tiempo de calidad con él. Aún le debemos ir de paseo, esperamos hacerlo pronto.

I am happy and grateful to celebrate his life, and I only wish to continue being by his side to watch him grow, even though nostalgia overwhelms us. I am happy to share this with the community that has watched my child grow up and has always sent him good wishes, which we always receive with affection. Thank you, Hive!
