I still can’t believe it! My seven-year-old daughter just won the poster-making contest at the Sci-Math Quest 2025! She won at the district level, then at the qualci-level, and now she is moving up as a division-level qualifier. 🏆

This was actually her first time participating in any contest, so our hearts are truly filled with pride and joy. She poured so much effort and love into her poster, and seeing her hard work pay off makes me so happy and thankful.

She used extra soft pastels to color her drawings. After every contest, her school uniform would be full of pastel marks, making her look worried and sad, messy and colorful! But honestly, I don’t mind at all. It can be hand-washed, and to me, those stains are signs of her passion and creativity.

She started drawing when she was just two years old, holding her pens or markers and doodling on any paper she could find, or on our walls. But it was only a month ago that she tried using oil pastels for the first time. Since then, we’ve already bought seven boxes of different pastel brands just to find the best one. Finally, we decided to stick with the extra-soft pastels because their colors are bright and vivid, and they blend so smoothly with her little fingers.

It’s her father who goes with her to the contests because I have work, but every time he tells me that she won, I can’t help but jump for joy! I feel so proud, so thankful, and so blessed for her God-given talent.

For her division-level poster-making contest, I will make sure that I am there to see how my daughter creates her masterpiece. I already asked my boss for a leave from work on that day, because I don’t want to miss this special moment. I know she will be happy to see me there, cheering for her and watching her do what she loves most.

She’s only seven, and yet she’s already showing so much potential. I can’t wait to see how much better she’ll become when she turns ten. I know this is just the beginning of her beautiful journey as an artist. 💖

Moments like this remind me what motherhood is truly about. It’s not just about raising a child, but about witnessing their growth, celebrating their little victories, and being their biggest supporter in everything they do. Sometimes, we may not always be beside them in every moment, but our love, pride, and prayers always are.
Thank you very much @qurator 🙏
