School activity with my children: an experience that leaves its mark/ Actividad escolar con mis niños y niñas: una experiencia que deja huellas
On Monday, October 13th, the teachers on duty organized to commemorate an activity scheduled in the school calendar: the Day of Indigenous Resistance. To celebrate this event, we asked the classroom teachers in advance for a collaborative activity. We informed the students that we would be celebrating this activity that Monday. Through the students, the teachers requested the representatives' collaboration, including headgear commemorating the celebration, as well as other supplies for recreational activities.

El día lunes 13 de octubre, los maestros en función nos organizamos para conmemorar una actividad que está pautada en el calendario escolar, el día de la Resistencia Indígena. Con el fin de celebrarla, anticipadamente se pidió la colaboración de los docentes de aula para hacer una actividad en conjunto, le indicamos a los estudiantes que ese día lunes celebraríamos esa actividad, a través de los estudiantes, los docentes solicitamos la colaboración de los representantes, con los atuendos que llevarían en la cabeza referente a esa celebración, además de otros implementos para realizar algunas actividades recreativas.
Every activity we carry out at our institution is possible thanks to the teamwork of our protagonists, the children, as well as the representatives and staff working at the Román Chalbaud Educational Center. Together, we form a great team, where each person contributes in their respective roles to carry out the activity, making it clear that when we unite for a common cause, we achieve our goals more quickly.

Cada actividad que realizamos en nuestra institución, es posible gracias al trabajo en equipo de nuestros protagonistas, los niños y niñas, además de los representantes y el personal que labora en la U. E. "Román Chalbaud". Juntos formamos un gran equipo de trabajo, donde cada uno desde su rol da sus aportes para llevar a cabo la actividad, dejándonos muy claro que cuando nos unimos por una misma causa, logramos más rápido los objetivos propuestos.
That day, in the afternoon, we began with a civic parade, singing the national anthem of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the national anthem of the state of Sucre. As our first activity, teacher Gladys and I gave a presentation on why we should commemorate the Day of Indigenous Resistance. For that day, I prepared one of my children to participate in a radio show emphasizing October 12th. I congratulate him; he did an excellent job. It's always worthwhile to rehearse with the children, dedicating time and love to each meeting for their comprehensive learning. Seeing them take on each activity in our creative area with responsibility, dedication, commitment, and devotion fills me with pride and personal satisfaction.

Ese día, en el turno de la tarde, comenzamos con la parada cívica, cantando el himno nacional de la República Bolivariana de Venezuela y el del estado Sucre. Como primera actividad, la docente Gladys y mi persona hicimos una disertación sobre por qué hay que conmemorar el día de la Resistencia Indígena. Preparé para ese día a unos de mis niños que participaría en un radio pasillo donde haría énfasis al 12 de octubre. Lo felicito, lo hizo excelente. Siempre vale la pena hacer cada ensayo junto a los niños y niñas, dedicarle tiempo y amor en cada encuentro en pro de su aprendizaje integral, verlos asumir con responsabilidad, dedicación, entrega y compromiso cada actividad de nuestra área creativa, me llena de orgullo y satisfacción personal.
As a second activity, we painted sketches of indigenous people. To do this, my painting colleague and I brought the children up on stage to color. Some children didn't bring their own supplies, but that wasn't a problem for them to color their sketches. Their classmates supported them by lending them their colors. Each child activated their creativity and gave their best so that their drawings turned out beautifully. They all happily finished their sketches and displayed them on stage with us.

Como segunda actividad, realizamos pintar bocetos de indígenas, para ello, la colega de pintura y mi persona, llevamos a los niños y niñas al escenario para que colorearan, algunos niños y niñas no trajeron sus implementos, pero eso no fue problema para que colorearan sus bocetos, sus compañeros les brindaron apoyo prestándoles sus colores, cada niño y niña activo su creatividad y dio lo mejor de sí para que sus dibujos quedarán muy bonitos. Todos terminaron sus bocetos felices y los exhibieron en el escenario junto a nosotras.
As a final activity, we visited classrooms to give presentations and discuss Indigenous Resistance Day. Many children gave their input. It's a pleasure to see them express their opinions and the answers they can give us. We included those who are still afraid to participate by asking thought-provoking questions. The intention is for them to gradually gain more confidence in what they do, overcoming their fears, and becoming more spontaneous and dynamic within the learning spaces.

Como última actividad fue visitar las aulas de clases para realizar disertaciones y conversatorios sobre el día de la resistencia indígena, muchos niños y niñas dieron sus aportes, es muy agradable verlos emitir sus opiniones y las respuestas que pueden llegar a darnos, a los que todavía les da temor participar, lo incluimos haciéndoles preguntas generadoras, la intención es que progresivamente vayan ganando más confianza en lo que hacen, venciendo sus temores, siendo más espontáneos y dinámicos dentro de los espacios de aprendizaje.
It was a very nice experience to enter the 1st grade classroom, section "C", see all the children wearing their outfits on their heads, the commitment shown by parents and representatives in these activities is fundamental, the support of the family in the learning of their represented and in these events is essential, without them many activities and learning would not develop 100%.
