My review of "The uncanny counter" [Eng/Esp]

Hi, nice community, I haven't been so active recently because it's been bad days for me, but I wanted to share with you a series that I liked a lot, just for those days where you want a little comedy, but also action and if you like fantasy, you will surely love it.

The story is based on a manhwa published in Webtoon (I haven't read it yet), besides, the series has a second season and I don't really like it when stories that personally had a good ending are extended to a second part, but I will possibly give it a chance and I will tell you what I thought of it.

We follow our protagonist So Mun, who was just a normal high schooler, lost his parents in a car accident and barely survived being left with an injury. He lives with his grandparents with a seemingly quiet and lonely life. But one day he was selected by a spirit from beyond to become a counter: a demon hunter.

By becoming a counter he acquires powers such as super strength and speed, but also each counter possesses a special ability that makes them different and So mun will have to discover what his is.

So mun joins a group that is in charge of detecting and hunting demonic spirits that possess humans and their secret base is a noodle restaurant. These demons feed on the suffering and souls of their victims, becoming more powerful the longer they remain in the world of the living.

It becomes more interesting as the chapters progress because they discover facts about the accident of the parents of so mun and the mystery that surrounds it, plus each evil spirit has a different story.

The series makes you doubt if the enemies are really demons or humans.

I started the series without many expectations and I liked it a lot, especially the relationship between the counters and their different stories, each one full of sadness, betrayals and losses, the team is like a family by choice, they take care and protect each other while fulfilling their main mission adding that touch of comedy perfect for bad days.

Hola, linda comunidad, no he estado tan activa recientemente porque han sido días malos para mí, pero les quería compartir una serie que me gustó bastante, justo para esos días donde quieres un poco de comedia, pero también acción y si les gusta la fantasía, seguramente les encantara.

La historia está basada en un manhwa publicado en Webtoon (no lo he leído aún), además, la serie tiene segunda temporada y no me gusta mucho cuando historias que personalmente tuvieron un buen final se extienden a una segunda parte, pero posiblemente le daré una oportunidad y les comentaré qué me pareció.

En la trama principal seguimos a nuestro protagonista So Mun, que solo era un chico de secundaria normal, perdió a sus padres en un accidente automovilístico y apenas sobrevivió quedando con una lesión en una pierna. Vive con sus abuelos con una vida aparentemente tranquila y solitaria. Pero un día fue seleccionado por un espíritu del más allá para convertirse en un counter: cazador de demonios.

Al convertirse en counter adquiere poderes como superfuerza y velocidad, pero también cada counter posee una habilidad especial que los hace distintos y So mun tendrá que descubrir cuál es la suya.

So mun se une a un grupo que se encarga de detectar y cazar a los espíritus demoníacos que poseen a humanos y su base secreta es un restaurante de fideos. Estos demonios se alimentan del sufrimiento y las almas de sus víctimas, volviéndose más poderosos mientras más tiempo permanezcan en el mundo de los vivos.

Se vuelve más interesante mientras avanzan los capítulos porque se descubren hechos del accidente de los padres de So mun y el misterio que lo envuelve, además cada espíritu maligno tiene una historia diferente

Empiezas a dudar si los enemigos son realmente los demonios o los humanos

Comencé la serie sin muchas expectativas y me gusto bastante, sobre todo la relación entre los counters y sus diferentes historias cada una llena de mucha tristeza, traiciones y perdidas, el equipo es como una familia por elección, se cuidan y se protegen mientras cumplen con su misión principal añadiéndole ese toque de comedia perfecto para los días malos.
