Part 1/9:
Trump Calls for U.S. Manufacturing of iPhones and Tariffs on Apple
In a shocking post on Truth Social, former President Donald Trump announced that he has informed Apple CEO Tim Cook that he expects all iPhones sold in the United States to be manufactured domestically, rather than in India or elsewhere. Trump emphasized, “If that's not the case, a tariff of at least 25% must be paid by Apple to the U.S.” This bold statement sent Apple’s stock tumbling in pre-market trading as it reached a decline of nearly 4% before starting to recover slightly.
