I'm trying so hard to illustrate for my kids the power of small, consistent saving.
Looking at HIVE, for example, if we had $0 in savings, and we started putting 10 HBD/week into savings, assuming the current APR stays the same at 15%, in 5 years we'd have $3,856.35, of which, $1,256.37 would be interest. Five years is nothing. I've been on Hive for 6 years myself, and that time has FLOWN by.
Get-Rich-Quick is great and all but what none of the folks who pull it off will tell you is that it's almost always one of two things: 1) luck, or, 2) funding from parents... or some combination of both.
Rich folks can afford to take more shots at getting rich quick, but for those of us working from the bottom... the only SURE way to get anywhere is methodically putting in the time and effort.
Yea you are right, time and effort is required to becoming successful for those of us starting from the bottom, we just need to spend wisely, have a methodical planning for how we spend our money, and learning to save is also important.
