Small Start, Big Goals

Joining hive a few months ago, there are many advices I have received from the lovely people of this amazing platform. The notable ones are, engage and stake. TBH I haven't really done much of that due to the hectic nature of my work, but I am not disappointed by the earnings I have made in about 2 months. I began with just a 13 dollar investment and currently my total hive value is almost 30 dollars.

Don't think about it in terms of how much and what it can buy, think of it as a percentage return over a month. I'm over 150 percent on my initial investment. Also consider the fact that I haven't been heavily active. That to me is awesome.

My Intentions

I'm in it for the long haul so I have decided to set some HP goals for myself. Currently I have 100 Hives powered up and my first Initial goal is to get it to 1000 quick, probably before the end of the first half of 2025.

Let's see if I can achieve that.

I try my best to stay a premium member, which is my way of supporting the platform one way or the other. I know premium is just for a project on hive, but I thought to myself that it does help the ecosystem one way or the other, and besides I'm still getting it back in HP which would remain staked. Kinda like a double win for the Hive Blockchain.

What to do with the HP

Okay, with this one I'm still reading so many different blogs on what the HP can do. I know I can delegate it to a project that has people doing the upvotes to others so that if I don't get the time, someone can still receive an upvote because of my stake. Well, I won't be busy forever so somewhere along the line when the HP is big enough, I might undelegate and do the upvoting myself. That's the decentralized way for sure.

One person on discord recommended steembasicincome to me, and this afternoon I read a little about it on their main account. Would love to hear your experience on it if you've tried it.

Anyways, cheers to us building for the long haul, would try to remain staked.

I recommend building up your HP until you can consistently deliver an 0.02 upvote before delegating anywhere.

Posts and comments that do not earn at least 0.02 get 'dusted' and earn nothing. Plus, your comments have more impact in growing your network when accompanied by a noticeable upvote value.

That sounds like a great advice. I would do just that. At the current price of Hive, how much do I need to have powered up to have an upvote of that value?
