Climate Change is the Earth's current condition that we are experiencing nowadays. Due to climate change, seasons can no longer be predicted. When it rains, we often experience floods, and sometimes we experience strong winds and typhoons. The cutting of trees and excessive carbon in our atmosphere are just two reasons for this problem. That's why the BCBP community initiated activities that will help mitigate climate change and save Mother Earth. One of these activities is Tree Planting. Tree planting not only mitigates climate change but also supports food production. The tree planting activity was done last June 21, 2025. This activity was carefully planned and coordinated by the wife of our chapter head. This was realized with the help of BCBP, a women's council. The seedlings were from the nursery of Tambongon, San Remigio, Cebu, the nearest municipality to Bogo, the area of our plantation. Seedlings of jackfruit, langka, guyabano, and banana were the fruit trees we planted in the two areas. The first area was in the Polambato, and the second was in Malingin.
After our breakfast fellowship, we hurriedly went to the area to have our tree planting activity. There were 25 seedlings of langka and guyabano planted. After planting, we watered the newly planted seedlings to ensure that they would grow. We finished our activity early since somebody had prepared the area and dug holes ready for planting.
Before we proceeded to the second area. We ate our lunch at Manding's Resort. Some women brought hanging rice while others brought bam-e and lechon manok. We enjoyed eating while talking to each other. After eating, we went to Malingin to plant Jackfruit. We planted 15 seedlings of jackfruit near the boundary of the sugarcane plantation. After planting, we visited Kapennara since we were very thirsty. So we ordered a smoothie and cold coffee for our snacks and refreshments. We enjoyed our moments together and helping each to make our advocacy successful.
That's all for now. Thank you for reading, and have a nice day.
Thank you for the support.
