Did you read that quote above by Robert Frost? So how about you? Have you taken the road less travelled or do you prefer to follow others like a sheep? Maybe you'll like to comment on that and explain, maybe not.
We're well into the sixth year of the weekend-engagement topic concept and it's really cool to see a few people come back every week and join in. If you'd like to get involved with the #weekend-engagement topics as hosted in the WEEKEND EXPERIENCES community then read below, and I hope you all have a great weekend.
A reminder, the tag to use is
weekend-engagementand you'll need to follow the rules I've set out because I'm inflexible with stuff like that.
ᕼ∈ᖇ∈'⟆ 𝜏ᖺ∈ ᖇυ𝘭∈⟆
ᕼ∈ᖇ∈'⟆ 𝜏Ꮒ∈ 𝜏𝖮ᖰ⫯⊂⟆
- When has doing the unexpected, unconventional or simply different thing to other people worked in your advantage? Explain the situation and result.
- Have you ever been to a weekend music event or festival? Use your images of it and explain what it was like.
- Share your hobby, the thing you do for enjoyment (not something you do at work)
- Camping experiences...share one of yours.
- What rules have you broken in your life? (Breaking the rules of this community/concept for the purpose of your post will reward you with a mute)

Gonna be the Hobby or the Music Event for this ol' KrazzyTrukker my friend.
But right now it is 5:37 am. And I am late as I usually start the coffee and my day between 4-5 am. Then outside to work on the never ending to-do's. Back out on the big road Saturday evening to pick up a load of tires for a Monday Tampa FLA delivery appointment.
I was awake at 4 am, just hangin out here in the cat room with a ghost...

Last image...you look like you've had a hair cut, watch out man, you'll have to keep the ladies away with a bat!
I buzz clipper cut it mee self to almost nothing. Kel touches up the spots I miss. One step away from shaven is how I spend the summer now.
I think the chrome dome buzz cut looks terrible and it is the BAT that you speak of. My Ugly Mug keeps em away. Sammi Jo sure brings em in close tho. Wish I woulda had her in my youth. Chick Magnet for sure.
Are You thinning on your top? Mine is as thick as ever top center. I think my father started to thin on top before 59.
I let it grow out during the cool months for as long as I can stand it. That is a month growth so far. It was long for the first 35 or so years. Now it gets like this photo from last winter and I can't stand it any longer and end up buzzing it all off early in like Feb/March.
I've still got plenty of hair mate, no thinning, although the rest of me is slowly degrading to the point I sometimes feel like an old cunt. Of course, I just keep on rockin' man...only death will slow me down...although I'll slow down and stop for a donut shop.
You and me both. I am trying really hard to slow down and enjoy the little things more. "Go go go" is a hard habit to break.
Understandable, it becomes a habit and slowing down often feels odd to those used to going flat out like a lizard drinking.
While I absolutely love sheep, I have no desire to be one, so I invariably head the other direction. Away from consensus, swimming against the tide, walking backward uphill, taking the unpaved roads. It isn't easy and doesn't provide for many long lasting friends, but hey... it's who I am😜
Well said, but then I think if those "friends" are not willing to accept you (their friend) were they really a friend.
I've often taken the road less traveled, and even though I encountered obstacles in reaching my goal, I felt great. If I had the chance, I'd do it again. Taking less-traveled paths offers great lessons and experiences that might not be experienced on the more-traveled road.
Beautiful cover photo; it looks like a perfect spot for relaxing. I like two topics from the weekend commitment. I hope to post them soon.
Cool, I'm interested to see what you write about.
Oh man I hope there wasn't someone that insane to do this... I've never been to a music event or camping, but there's still 3 good topics left
As for topic 3, can we share also hobbies that we used to do until few time ago? I had to stop a couple since when I got the kid
Never been camping? Bloody hell, you serious?
Yeah I am 🤣 my parents never brought me camping so I never experienced it as kid, and when I grown up and became independent I never had the temptation to try... There's not much camping culture here aswell, out of 12 colleagues only 2 do it
Fair enough. My parents never took me camping either but as soon as I could, I started myself. Best thing ever.
All five topics presented for this weekend are interesting, and if I get a chance, I hope to be able to prepare content for at least 3 topics. I am not usually interested in attending music concerts. But once every 6 months I join the free DJ music event for local and foreign tourists. First of all, I will present about it. Have a good weekend.
Sounds like a good plan. Have a good weekend.
On several occasions I have taken less explored paths or different criteria than other people. And, I should say that most of the time I have done so because I have thought and come to the conclusion that I had to.
On some occasions I have been wrong, but I have followed my own arguments.
It is true that, sometimes this has brought me problems, but I have assumed them because they are consequences of what I feel and think.
Of the topics all are interesting, but I think that my passion for music will make me be in the one that is related to this manifestation of art.
Happy weekend.
Cheers and greetings.
Music makes the world go round...or money does. Or love. Nah, probably money.
Happy weekend.
I am a sheep, but a black sheep, so I have always taken the road less travelled in my life. I have gone against the herd and I am fine with that; it makes me different. They say that the warrior's path is lonely, and it is, but in the end you meet like-minded people, other loners, and that's great. The best path is not the easiest one; you learn nothing from that. The path full of obstacles teaches us more and prepares us better. That's a great quote.
And the topics are great! Thank you and have a great weekend!!!
Baa baa Black sheep, have a good weekend.
You too!!! Have a great time!!!😁
Good morning galen. Hope you had a good sleep?? To be honest with you, these questions are actually tough to answer for me but then i think i can write something on the last one.
Lol, it's night time, almost bed time here.
Have a good weekend.
Wow that's actually surprising 😮
You don't understand the concept of timezones?
So far I colored 3 paintings by numbers( now coloring another one). And I really love it. I think that it is both enjoyable and affordable way of spending time and decorating home.
I think that from these 3 sets Venice was my favorite. But the new set may be even better. The problem is that after sitting too long my back starts hurting a bit. I guess I am no longer young.😛
Yep, I have a bad back sometimes, probably due to a lifetime of abusing it through too much physical activity.
I have always felt compelled to do things unconventionally, especially when I see a fault in how others do it, even if it's millions of people doing it. Sometimes this starts in the realm of thought, disagreeing with others on particular topics, and to be frank, I disagree on lots of things most people would agree on. It's not that I just want to stand out, but I usually see flaws in certain ways of thinking and doing things. And I feel that to make the change I desire to make in the society with my talents, I must do it differently not caring if I'm applauded or mocked. A person's convictions are worth nothing if they are not ready to stand by them despite the troubles.
I concur, one must stand for one's morals, ethics, code of integrity and honour.
I really like Robert Frost's quote because I'm truly one of those who likes to take the road less traveled by others, and you can really notice the difference in the lessons we learn from this journey.
Greetings
Indeed, a good quite right?
That was a great quote there. It's just been me not following the crowd or necessarily doing what others do. Most reason why I don't usually follow trends but doing something else I feel like I want to do when I want to do them
An excellent way to proceed.
Happy weekend friends how is it going? Is a rainy day here
Have a good weekend.
Thank you
Phew... too bad I don't have any photos of the times I've been to concerts and music festivals... I also don't have any photos of the times I've gone camping... I would have liked to have been able to participate... Good luck to the participants!
Oh well, maybe next time.
Galen please have you read my new post??
I'm busy so haven't had a chance.

Ok.
Moving from one continent to another was definitely a road the road least traveled. That wasn't really on anyone's road map for me, being a good student at University and with much interest into the subjects I was studying - a master degree, or a job in an NGO would've been a likely path. But moving to Ecuador and become a cook and then a baker? Nope. Not even I had thought about that. And that absolutely made the difference in my life. I'm very sure that I'm a better human being for it.
