Mama Ada sat under a coconut tree outside her husband's house. She does this regularly. This helped her to fix her health issue as a result of the demise of her husband a few months ago. “Cold breeze has a way of fixing ill health.” The doctor will say to her. The sudden demise of her husband brought about serious health challenges. The last time the doctor ran a series of tests on her, the result showed that her blood level was high and she stands the risk of having high blood pressure. Her daughter Ada was advised on what to do to help her mother.

One of the things she does every day is sit outside and enjoy the cool breeze of the evening.

This evening was not different from other days; she sat down in an armchair, and a bottle was placed behind her. Ada was in the kitchen preparing for dinner when a knock was heard from the gate. “Who could that be”? She wondered. Ada was right in the kitchen and there was no way she could hear the knock.

The knock came again, but this time a voice calling “mummy…..aunty Ada….” She couldn't decipher the voice and she couldn't stand up to open the gate.

Ada had left the kitchen for the living room and was attracted by the voice.
“Ada, someone is at the gate” she said.

Ada walked up to the gate and opened it. A young beautiful girl in her early twenties greeted her with a beautiful smile that can change the heart of a criminal.

“Aunty Ada….!!!” She exclaimed extending her hands for a hug.
“Flourish..I was in a kitchen, be careful how you hug me before you soil your beautiful dress”
“It doesn't matter” she responded carelessly.
“It's okay o”
“Where is Mummy?” she asked. Just on time, she turned to her left and saw the old woman. She ran towards her and gave her a hug.

“Mummy”, she said, stylishly emphasising the ‘m’ alphabet.
“Flourish” she called
“Yes Mummy”
“Is this you?
“Mummy it's me”
“After how many years?”
“Mummy, it's been God o”
“Oya, come and give a hug again”, the old woman requested. They hugged each other the second time.

“How's your Mom?” Ada tipped in
“She's fine”. “She sent her regards to everyone”
“Wow, Flourish, you're now a big girl,” Ada said, touching her waist and her bosom.
“Have always been a big girl auntie” she responded lightly with a smile.
“I was in the kitchen, before my food got burnt, later you can join me”, she said, walking away from them.

It was getting dark when they moved to the sitting room.

“Mummy, I came home to visit my parents, so I decided to come around and see you,” Flourish said breaking the ice.
“You've done so well, my daughter. God will bless you.”
“Amen”. She responded
“Meanwhile Mummy, I came to also thank you for the scholarship, Daddy gave us” She paused for a moment and said “May his soul rest in peace”
“Amen”
“Which scholarship are you talking about?” The woman asked
“The one that daddy gave to us six years ago to study in any university of our choice”
“You mean the church scholarship”? She asked again
“Yes Mummy”
“Oh I forgot my daughter”
“Through that scholarship, I was able to complete my education and I am now working in an oil firm”
“That's so beautiful my daughter”
“So, Mummy, by tomorrow, before I travel back, I will come with my mom. We have a special package for you” she said
“That's so kind of you”
“Mummy, it's about time I took my leave”, she said, standing up to go, when Ada interrupted.
“You go nowhere until you eat” on her hand was a tray with rice and stew fully loaded. She insisted that she must eat and she sat down and ate to her full.

While eating, they shared memories of years ago, how Flourish was a young, intelligent girl taking her studies seriously and as a result of that, she was qualified for a scholarship that took her out of the country. In the end, she begged to leave, but her aunt wouldn't let her until the old woman came to her rescue.
