The Game

in The Ink Well7 days ago

My Sister and I normally played this game when we were little. One person would hide and when the other person ignorantly crosses then the hidden person would shout whuuuh out from the hiding place making the other person startle in fear.

Just a day prior I had secured a win and that really pissed my sister off. The was She startled I almost thought She was convulsing, which was really funny. I laughed my ass out that day. She was very pissed that She had fallen for my trick.

She decided to have a comeback one certain evening. She hid herself carefully. She was about securing one of the greatest win ever recorded because it was dark that evening. NEPA had withheld the light from us just a few moments ago.

I was on my way to go turn on the generator, As my steps neared her, I guess She was already preparing how to laugh afterwards.

We had agreed that we won't scare each other in the night for many reasons, one of them being that.
It's already scary in the night, no need to add to it.
Also, my parents would have been back by then so we shouldn't do that when they were around.

As usual my Sister thought it wise that since I wouldn't expect it, it would be the perfect opportunity to scare the living daylight out of me.

I was sent to to turn on the generator because the power had been seized. On my way heading to the backyard of the house. I immediately heard;

"Whuuuuh." She screamed.

I heard a class of water fall to the ground and broke with the water spilled on the floor.

I came out from the sitting room to check what had happened, lo and behold She had startled my Dad.

My Dad decided to go turn on the Generator because according to him I was always using a strong hard which always ruined the ropes. Which was true but in my defence the ropes were thick.

With so much anger my Dad lost it that evening.
When She shouted Whuuuh, my Dad was so startled that he dropped the glass of water He had in his hands.

Now, I didn't know which was more funny. The fact that She startled my Dad and it actually worked, which I believed She deserves a point for. Or if it was the fact that the scenario was meant for me.

If I were in church I would have said God was fighting my battles for me.

That was how I scored another win. I don't even what to do into what happened later that evening. But I sure laughed to an extent I developed headache.

My sister was so angry that evening that when I startled her again, the look on her face drove me away like an evil Spirit.

Yeah, I actually came to startle her again after what She went through that night. I'm very competitive and I know the best time to catch your enemy is when they have their guards down.

Call me a bad brother, I don't care. I won the game😂😂.

hello @venom2951. The reason why we ask you to only share one story for the prompt is that each story should be at least 750 words otherwise it risks being underdeveloped. Posting two stories in a single post to meet that 750 minimum word count defeats the object. What you did by creating a new post (this current one) which repeats half of the first post (and slightly expands the story) was to post the same content twice for rewards on Hive which is frowned upon. What you should have done was to edit your original post to delete one of the two stories from THAT post. Nevertheless, even as a standalone post, this story does not meet minimum word count, and this shows in the level of story development. You have also not taken the time and care to edit your piece. We recommend that you revisit the purpose, rules, and guidelines of our community if you wish for your stories to be supported here, and remember that quality needs to be at the core of your submissions.

It was the way you just wanted to win the game for me but a win is a win. I would have done that too but sometimes, i get worried about the well being of other people
