Hello, hello internet people! How are you? Last week I had the wonderful opportunity to accompany my friend to a barista competition. Obviously, she's a barista and has participated on several occasions, but I hadn't had the chance to go support her. The event was at a hotel, specifically the Intercontinental Hotel in Valencia, Venezuela, so at first I thought maybe I should wear something formal, or at least a cocktail dress. However, my friend told me not to worry about it because since it was a competition, the event would be more casual and we could attend in any outfit we liked. So there wasn't a specific dress code.
Hola Hola gente de internet ¿Cómo están? La semana pasada tuve la maravillosa oportunidad de acompañar a mi amiga a una competencia de barismo, obviamente ella es barista y ha participado en varias ocasiones, pero yo no había tenido la oportunidad de ir a apoyarla. El evento sería en un hotel, específicamente el hotel Intercontinental de Valencia/ Venezuela, así que en un inicio pensé que tal vez debía llevar algo formal, o quizá al menos un vestido de coctel, sin embargo mi amiga me dijo que no debía preocuparme al respecto porque al ser una competencia el evento más bien sería de tipo informal y podíamos asistir con el outfit de nuestra preferencia, así que no había ningún código de vestimenta especifico.
Since I would be attending the event after work and would be traveling on my motorbike, I wanted to go for a more comfortable look, without sacrificing a feminine touch. So, I opted for loose black pants (very comfortable because they don't have a zipper). They're loose joggers with some very original details on the sides that give them a super casual yet characterful feel. To balance them out, I wore a tartan blouse with off-the-shoulder details (very cute). You can't see it in the photo, but I'm wearing ochre-colored sneakers.
Ya que yo asistiría al evento después de salir de mi trabajo y además me trasladaría en mi bici moto yo quería optar por un look más bien cómodo, sin dejar a un lado desde luego el toque femenino. De esta manera opté por unos pantalones negros holgados (muy cómodos porque no tienen cierre) son de tipo jogger holgados, con unos detalles muy originales a los costados que le dan un toque super informal pero a la vez le confieren carácter, y para equilibrar usé una blusa de tela de tartán con los hombros al descubierto (muy cute). En la foto no se ve pero estoy usando zapatos deportivos en color ocre.
Ahh! and to complete the outfit, after being at the event for a while I went to the bathroom and decided to wear a white sweater tied around my waist, but not only to give the look a more urban touch, but because I wanted to have it on hand in case the weather changed like it usually does lately 😅, but the truth is I think it looked really good on me 😁
¡Ahh! y para complementar el outfit, luego de llevar un rato en el evento fui al baño y decidí usar un suéter blanco atado a la cintura, pero no solo para conferirle al look un toque un poco más urbano, sino porque yo quería tenerlo a la mano en caso de que el clima cambiara tal como suele hacerlo últimamente 😅, pero la verdad creo que me sentaba muy bien 😁
This outfit allowed me to have a good time and enjoy the event with my friend to the fullest, feeling comfortable but without losing style 😃 That's why I recommend having clothes for all occasions in your closet, but especially loose joggers, because these have style and can get you out of a fashionista bind 😄
Este outfit me permitió pasarla bien y disfrutar con mi amiga en el evento a plenitud sintiéndome cómoda pero sin perder el estilo 😃 por eso recomiendo tener en le el closet ropa para todas las ocasiones, pero en especial los joggers holgados, porque estos tienen estilo y pueden sacarte de algún apuro fashionista 😄
