Senior High school journey: DIVA-LICIOUS

Good day, hiveians, another day filled with joy and blessings. It's me again, @itsmejelay. Glad to be back. I hope you like my blogs. Today, Join me as I tell my journey during my senior high school era.

Being a student you need to prepare on everything, you can be an emcee, a performer and whatsoever, sometimes you will be transforming into another character, it depends to the subject teacher if they wanted some challenge on you as a student. Being a singer doesn't mean we don't feel nervous at all, we can still feel it. For me, everytime I am going any Contest I always think positive and stay focused. However when I was young I used joining contest especially Singing contest in a local area like sitio. I didn't win but for me that was a warm up of my voice, maybe something like lesson learned, so that whenever I joined again I have strong courage to face the crowd carrying the confidence that I have.

So,as part of my schoolgirl era, I really loved performing on stage in every event or even competition in our school; singing and dancing on stage was my therapy or my happiness as a student. Not just to sing but also I can be an emcee at the same time. I can dance, and I can transform whatever they wanted us to be or to do.

And as a student, we can't deny the fact they we can have some troubles, it's either to our classmates, or to our friends inside the campus. Since everyone is not the same to your taste, then some of then can't understand everything in you.

This competition is named "English Battle" so all you need to do is to prepare any English songs. This battle has two round. The first round was on December 10; in the competition, the judges will pick some random 5 singers who deserve the spot to be the next battle of English songs on December 15. The song that I chose in the first round was "Breathless by the Cross," and I nailed that time for the second batch or second round of the competition.

And for the last round, December 15, I chose a song titled " Why - I literally forgot the singer of this song. During this time, teachers chooses their participants in this competition. If I'm not wrong, we, the participants are 6 since that was by grade level, starting from grade 7 up until to grade 12. I thought being a singer wouldn't feel any nervous at all because you're used to performing outside and inside to the school unlike to your enemy in the competition. But no. I felt nervous even if it's just the first round of the competition. Especially the first on you to perform got really nervous to the point that she can't Almost perform. She cried in and hugged me, and that was the time I felt nervous too. But then u chose to calm myself and face the audience's at all. Instead of panicking I chose to believe myself and strengthened more my ability to perform. Because being a diva is not afraid of anything and can do anything.

Since we are 6 participants, and when the results was officially announced. One got eliminated and 5 are still remaining for the second round of the competition.

And this time, Bernadeth and Clint were joking around; they pretended that they had a crown in their hands and put it on my head, which was why my hands were up. We're extremely laughing at this moment knowing that we nailed that last round. We survived the English Battle competition at school; I won as the GRAND CHAMPION of the English Battle competition, Bernadeth was the third runner up, and then Timothy was 2nd runner up. They also have a very amazing voice.

As a proud adviser to my grade 11 teacher, ma'am, mycer She's so proud at this moment, especially since we are her first advisors. And also the man wearing a maroon t-shirt named Sir Kim. He is also proud of the three of us. They are also amazing as our teacher.

After the awarding, these incredible two teachers beside me were Ma'am Jeralyn Mapula and Sir Lee Arisgado; they'll also be in a competition for gods and goddesses.

These wonderful girlies are my classmates. They also won the competition that they joined during this time. They're proud of me and I'm also beyond proud of them as well. They are also my number one "taga shagit" or solid supporters. We grade senior high school students are the grand champion also for the event. They are my number one.

In closing, I would like to say that make an action for everything you wanted to be, don't just trust the hope but trust yourself and be yourself is the main key of the competition, Prove to everyone that you are also capable to do what everyone does. Be strong, be wise, be confident, and be yourself as well. Because there is no struggle that you can't face with. Also being confident is also the key to success in performing especially crowded place. A friendly reminder that be confident and be yourself.
