Visiting my Mom & Sister's place

Hello everyone, this is @lorene08! For today’s blog, it will just be short—a quick story about how I spent my Sunday with my mother and little sister at their place.

On Sunday morning, my mom invited me to visit her place slash their sari-sari store. By the afternoon, I was already at her house. I visited them since I had nothing to do and I also missed my mom and my little sister.

The first thing my mom and I did was fix something on her phone. Her other phone was broken and she needed to transfer some things to her main phone. Not long after, my sister came out of their room. When I greeted her earlier, she wasn’t in the mood, so my mom told me to just let her be.

Then after that, my little sister asked me to play with her on her big iPad. And honestly, my sister has this British accent and my gosh, I can’t keep up when she talks nonstop. All I can do is nod or say “okay” HAHAHAHA!! Kids nowadays are really full of surprises and they’re very smart too.

While she was enjoying playing with me, my mom and I were also talking about random things, and she was asking me how I was at home. When Jarrah started playing with her own toys, I just watched her—it felt like looking at the younger me, playing by myself because I had no one to play with back then. It was just me, my toys, and my gadgets.

While she was busy playing, my mom offered me some snacks. She let me try her DIY ice cream—it was actually really good. Then a few hours later, she asked if I wanted Milo or coffee. I chose coffee, and she was so shocked because she said I was “so brave” to drink coffee HAHAHAHA!

That Sunday afternoon was filled with Jarrah laughing and talking nonstop. She really enjoyed my company even though she only sees me sometimes, but I love that she’s not awkward around her big sister. When it was getting late, my mom told me to go home because the clouds were getting dark and it wasn’t safe since it was getting dark and there might be an aftershock.

It was just a simple bonding moment, but I really enjoyed it with my mother—even though we weren’t that close before, I truly love and appreciate her as my mom. And my little sister… she’s growing up so fast! And she’s also very smart—honestly, smarter than me 😭
