topic"should things be private or transparent in a relationship"
I would like to define what a relationship is according to my point of view,to me it's the affectionate bond shared between two people,a relationship can be define as a friendship or a romantic relationship.
No matter the type of relationship,it works better when the both parties involved are transparent with each other even though it depends on the type of relationship and the level of how transparent somebody can be.
Let me write about a relationship I knew about This were two people who were so much in love with each other and we thought everything was okay between them but as time goes on,the started keeping things from each other,the no longer shared there little details like the use to,where the went to and who she's meeting up with
The other party in the relationship started doubting her and did not tell her about how he felt,all of them were not transparent about there feeling at that moment and that brought a big misunderstanding.
He went out to grab lunch when he met her with a guy eating lunch,when he saw her he was filled with disappointment because he was already having doubt about her and when she explained things to him,he found out that it was just a business lunch which the use that opportunity to talk about work because of the person's busy schedule.
If the were transparent enough he wouldn't have doubted her to the extend of thinking she was a cheat and she wouldn't have had to pass through disagreement with him.
Transparency leads to avoiding so many misunderstanding even between friends,so friends still keep there relationship a secret from their other friend but let's look at a situation where the guy is dating both the friends, it's funny but it does happen without them even finding out which can be avoided
When it comes to finances,the level of transparency actually depends on how close you're with this particular person,if you aren't close enough to trust this person with your life,you shouldn't tell him/her about your finances.
I will always support transparency in a relationship because it helps avoid so many misunderstanding and help build a strong relationship.
