Hello, friends of the #ShadowHunters community, thanks to our friend @melinda010100 for inviting us to this initiative in her Shadow Hunters SMASh Contest – Round 415.

There are signs that are made not to go unnoticed. This one clearly warns: “Dangerous road section, drive carefully.” While I was walking along the street, it was not only the sign that caught my attention, but also the way the sun projected its shadow onto the ground, as if the warning wanted to repeat itself a second time.

The shadow stretched the sign and made it almost more visible than the sign itself. It was as if the message were duplicated: one for the eyes and another for the ground. Sometimes light does that, it takes something ordinary and turns it into a different image, simpler but just as clear.

Looking at that shadow, I thought that many warnings in life actually work in the same way. Some are written directly, like the sign on the road. Others appear in a more subtle way, like a shadow stretching out in front of us reminding us that, on certain stretches of the road, it is always better to move forward carefully.

The photos were taken with a mobile phone, and for the English version I used Google Translator.

Advertencia duplicada por el sol

Hola, amigos de la comunidad #ShadowHunters, gracias a la amiga @melinda010100 por convocarnos a esta iniciativa en su Shadow Hunters SMASh Contest-Round 415.

Hay señales que están hechas para no pasar desapercibidas. Esta advierte claramente: “Tramo de vía peligroso, maneje con cuidado.” Mientras caminaba por la calle, no solo me llamó la atención el cartel, sino también la forma en que el sol proyectaba su sombra sobre el suelo, como si el aviso quisiera repetirse una segunda vez.

La sombra alargaba la señal y la volvía casi más visible que el propio cartel. Era como si el mensaje se duplicara: uno para los ojos y otro para el suelo. A veces la luz hace eso, toma algo cotidiano y lo transforma en una imagen diferente, más simple pero igual de clara.

Mirando esa sombra pensé que, en realidad, muchas advertencias en la vida funcionan así. Algunas están escritas de forma directa, como la señal en la carretera. Otras aparecen de manera más sutil, como una sombra que se extiende delante de nosotros recordándonos que, en ciertos tramos del camino, siempre es mejor avanzar con cuidado.
