Handel e Inés, los personajes protagonistas de esta historia, viven decisivas aventuras que van desde cazar lagartijas, atisbar a la bruja del pueblo o enamorarse al amparo de dos bellas flores.

Handel, es un niño que suaviza las crudezas a través de su mirada limpia, y que aprenderá por el camino que las madrastras no tienen por qué ser brujas y que a veces la muchacha linda del aula sí se enamora del menos pensado. Ronco y su pandilla piensan que va a disponer de la vida de todos en el pueblo, y sin embargo la amistad y el amor de Handel e Inés es capaz de sortear cada una de las trabas que aparecen.

Leer esta obra es como estar en esos parajes del campo o del pueblo en el que hemos crecido muchos; y es aprender no solo de lagartijas y flores, sino del ser humano, sus miedos y debilidades, así como de la grandeza que se esconde en cada uno como una semilla en espera del momento justo para germinar y florecer.

Ñámpiti no es solo un libro para niños y jóvenes, porque las temáticas que aborda, los giros dramáticos en las historias y la trascendencia de su mensaje final es cosa muy seria, cosa también de mayores.

Sobre el autor:
Eduard Encina Ramírez. Fue un destacado escritor y pintor cubano del municipio Contramaestre, provincia Santiago de Cuba. Fue miembro de la Asociación Hermanos Saíz, del Grupo Literario Café Bonaparte.
Nació en Baire, Santiago de Cuba, el 27 de enero de 1973.
Licenciado en Educación Artística y profesor de Apreciación de las Artes Visuales.
Falleció el 8 de septiembre de 2017 en la sala de terapia intensiva del hospital Saturnino Lora, de Santiago de Cuba, a los 44 años.

About the author:
Eduard Encina Ramírez was a prominent Cuban writer and painter from the municipality of Contramaestre, Santiago de Cuba province. He was a member of the Hermanos Saíz Association and the Café Bonaparte Literary Group.
He was born in Baire, Santiago de Cuba, on January 27, 1973.
He had a degree in Art Education and was a professor of Visual Arts Appreciation.
He died on September 8, 2017, in the intensive care unit of Saturnino Lora Hospital in Santiago de Cuba, at the age of 44.
