You may not believe me, but this is the fifth time I have started writing this post, and what is more, the topic is quite easy! I write a sentence in a draft and delete it, and start over, and again, I don't like how I started the introduction. I know that if I had to write it in pen, I wouldn't be able to erase it every time like I do when I type on a keyboard.

Just to give an example, one of the ways I started (and deleted) was that I wished you all a Happy New Year and a happy new monthly theme here at Hive Collectors Community. 🤷‍♀

It wasn't very creative. Then I started with a short history of a well-known writing tool that will be presented as the protagonist of this topic... and then I didn't like it either. More attempts for the first paragraph came (and disappeared 😂), so somehow we will need to directly jump into the topic.

Maybe it would be just easier to open this leather case and find out the topic... hmmm, let's see...

Ballpoint pens!

I am a lucky one then, as I do have a little collection of this item. 😁

Who would say that the year will start with such an easy monthly theme? I hope you will also like it and join the initiative, and have fun while writing your contribution. For that, we would also need to take some photos of our collections and say a few words about them. I will start to present my ballpoint pen collection with the pens we got from some of our travels.

We have two of these Andalucía ballpoint pens (one red and this blue) but I don't know why I didn't take a photo of the red one. Anyway, we visited Andalucía a few times, the last one was our trip to Málaga last year; however, this pen was bought on our first trip to that autonomous community when we went to Granada.

The green ballpoint pen was bought one of the times we visited Zaragoza and met @palomap3. 😃

And if you travel, you need to find a hotel to stay in. Although not all the hotels give away promotional items, such as notepads or pens, we do have a few ballpoint pens that can remind us about our stays (or where I played 🎶).

Over the years, I got (and lost) so many nice and colourful ballpoint pens, as well as some funny ones. I also like to see drawings on the ballpoint pens. This morning, while taking the photos for this post, I found just this one with marine fauna that could match that category.

Just a simple section of the collection, three pens that decided to pose together for the photo.

The black ballpoint pen I hold in my hand and pretend to write invisible musical notes is probably the heaviest in the collection. It is massive but still quite comfortable to hold in your hand. The next two pens give a similar feeling while writing with them, even though they are a bit lighter.

The music-related pens! Both were gifts and you can guess that they are my favourite ballpoint pens from my collection. W.A Mozart pen is already a bit old, it even changed the colour from white to yellowish.

The thinner ballpoint pen is the one I currently use to write down the piano lessons in the form of short notes in a notebook. I like to have a record of the pieces and concepts I worked with my students, and for me, the handwritten version works the best... although my handwriting gets worse as time passes.

Another ballpoint pen that is among the favourite ones is this Hive pen! 😍 I should have written this post on paper with this pen, right? 😉

The rest of the collection is represented by a single photo: just plastic, plain ones with no particular origin or significance, but I like the variety of colours, as there are even pink, purple, and green ink ballpoint pens, along with the usual colours like blue, red and black.
