We're back in New Zealand for part five of my here and there shit photography posts and why not huh? It's a legit place to visit so revisiting my images is always enjoyable for me - Although you might fucken hate it I guess.
I could live in New Zealand, although when I weas there I found it to be more expensive than Australia; it's a very beautiful place although so is Australia so I suppose maybe I'll split my time between the two flying back and forth in my private jet. It's not a big one but what it lacks in size it makes up for by being well-stocked with snacks...but I digress.
This post is not about my private jet, it's about shit photography from places I've been as part of my here and there series so I'll stop talking. Enjoy the shit photos and if you have any comments or questions feel free to drop them in the section specifically designed for that purpose...you know, the comments section.

You know what I love about your photos? They get my juices flowing. Not those juices..get ya mind out of the gutter lol. The creative juices, the lust for color...namely blue color. Not just one blue, but all the shades and values of 'blue'. The various blues of the sky, steel blue shadows on the mountains, the aquas of the rivers, the royal blue of the water shadows, the indigo of your lady's britches, all soothe the soul and calm the mind. At least mine anyway lol.
Also, why is it called Land of the Long White Cloud? If you've mentioned it in your previous post on New Zealand I have either missed it or forgotten (happens more often nowadays)?

So, it basically refers to the unique cloud formations that occur there and there's some speculation/belief that the Māori word Aotearoa translates to land of the long white cloud. I like that explanation...although some probably don't believe it and it's a point of conjecture depending on who's doing the talking.
Here's one of my images as a bit of an indication.
As for the blue...Yeah, it's quite nice isn't it? The whole place is so lovely. NZ is a really cool place, one of my favourite places in the world.
Yep, that explanation fits the name, so that's what it will be. I had noticed the clouds in all the pics that showed sky, but your example pic here shows the 'long white cloud' shape better.
It's quite the phenomenon and feels right when one thinks of the description when observing the cloud formations.

I love how the blues blend with the white of the clouds. NZ looks like a place everyone should visit, with stunning views. However, I must say these photos remind me of the tinny towns in North America from the movies.
Will there be more posts about NZ? I've really enjoyed them!
I may do another, I think people get bored though so my next one will be from somewhere else.
NZ is awesome man, I'd recommend going there to anyone who likes good shit...if people are miserable wankers who don't like nature though...best not to go there.

I have a question regarding the first photo. In what way do you blur a part of the picture, when taking a picture, disturb the focus or edit it later (and if you edit, what do you use)?
I blur the images of the people in my photos for obvious reasons and use a phone app called Snapseed to do that.

Galenkp, you always say they are crappy pictures, but the truth is that when I agree with these posts I end up loving each one of them, maybe because of the beauty of the places you share... Beyond this, you have a private jet 😱 ❤️ 😱 I am very happy for you, not many people can say that. May the blessings continue to rain down, and most importantly, enjoy them, I was really pleasantly surprised by that 🙏

But what wonderful photos! I mean... shitty! The colours of the water, the sky, the earth... a beauty, I don't know how you bring such horrible photos. Is it much more expensive to live there? Have you visited volcanoes there?

I only went to the South island and the volcanoes are in the north. Only 25 percent of the population live on the South island which made it more attractive. I'll go to the north though, probably a lengthy road trip over 3-4 weeks I guess. Not yet though.
And you will surely bring back wonderful photographs of the place. It is true that the fewer people the better. It must be great to see that snow in such beautiful scenery.
New Zealand looks so wild! Doesn't seem like a hot place, more like north America... How are beaches there? Seems pretty much all rocks, no place to plant umbrellas
It's quite close to Antarctica and so is reasonably cool there. Cold by some people's standards I'd guess and where these images were taken on the South Island it's cooler than on the north Island. There's beaches although it's quite cold water.
New Zealand is really beautiful and this pictures have really done justice to the beautiful scene's there

What's the average travel time from New Zealand to Australia? I've never bothered to look at a map to see just how close they are. I'm guessing most flights originate out of Sydney? The pictures are a amazing. It looks like a beautiful place and the rocky coast reminds me of our Lake Huron (without the mountains!).
From Perth about 6 hours, from Sydney about 3 hours, Brisbane about the same and my city flies to Sydney then NZ so a little longer as time is spent in transit usually. Maybe you should bother to check the map if you're interested.
I actually did look at the map, but I never would have guessed the time from Perth since it is on the other side of the continent. :) Even Sydney to NZ was longer than I would have guessed at three hours.
Wow well tbh I have never ever seen the outer country but i have listen that Switzerland and New Zealand are the one country which are very awesome and very peaceful. And also by seeing your photos it looks exactly same. Your photos are great sir
