I see a problem since a lot of people think DAO means it should pay for everything. I don't think that should be the case at all.
Market mechanics beat everything. With downvotes i see the opinion flagging + and with upvotes, Cluster voting.
Out Hive Police still against memes, fun, sharing news, otherwise ppl get blacklisted. I think this did damage Hive in the Millions in marketcap ( you can check current Power downs, is in millions and some i know say directly this or say it openly). Like power up 100k 200k or even 500k doesn't allow you to support the content you want ( meme pages, news or whatever).
hive has no content feed with useful content and that is mostly the reason. Let people post what they want ( besides harmful content) and let the Front ends find out what they want to display.
We are on the same side; more people means stronger currency. So give it to as much hands as possible.
Ah yeah DAO would be good to fund massive pools for maggi. thats like cheating and becoming independent from CEX rape that did happen to so many altcoins. Good times ahead if we can fix some shit. Really good times.
Both options sound very sound... actually sounds very natural to have the exact same flexibility there that we already have by curating normal content.
And on top of that proposals have already a post associated, so the first vote could even be automated, as in... what you vote the post of the proposal gets automatically voted on the proposal too (and later on, you can change if you changed you mind). At least will make more people that are just voting for the post, to also mimic that transfer to the same sentiment on the real proposal. And yes, I know its not really the same thing, but for most that don't know, it would harvest a lot more of participation.

Thanks for the motivation 😑, I was a bit down to the overall crypto prices thank you. I am not a big stake holder but still I am here from past 8 years and trying my best to be here and helping others with my power and inviting others to be here. You always motivate with your video thanks you so much. Yes you are right nothing is perfect, but we can make the palce close to perfect. A few of my friends left hive most of them are not here for sure because of the price. They know the potential but still it feels sad. Maybe this video will give them motivation.

Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with the community, and we need more of these talks, definitely... I miss the days of HIVE Town Halls with over 50-100 participants, where people would share ideas and figure out in which direction we should go...
Regarding downvotes on proposals... I know it was mentioned before, at least I asked a question about it, and there was a reason why we DON'T HAVE them, but to be honest, I forgot the reason behind it... Maybe it was because we had Return Proposal, which was shown a few months ago, in an obvious example that it isn't enough... Hopefully, we will implement downvotes on proposals, as with the current system, it's kind of demotivating for (ordinary) Hivians (not whales), to even check proposals, as their vote doesn't mean anything...
And when we are on that topic, I wouldn't say that smaller stakers don't care (or care less) about HIVE, governance, or the price... For a person who invests a lot of time, effort, and money, even a small stake means a lot... Some people will appreciate their hard-earned $10 more than others who got thousands "for free"...

Terrible projects should be stop receiving funding from the DAO as soon as they fail to meet their milestones. Since the Hive Thive show this week, I've removed my vote from all proposals except the return proposal.
If we can get downvotes in DAO proposals, I'll use my HP to downvote underperforming proposals.
Weighted voting is also a good idea.
As far as small stakeholders, there's a lot of voter apathy. I'm of the opinion that people don't care much unless you have skin in the game. In fact, you should only be able to get rewards from the rewards pool if you have a certain amount of HP. That way we guarantee that everybody has skin in the game.
